Even if we get Oreo, it will be in a year or so. I still did not even get Nougat, so I don't have so high hopes for Oreo.

I'm not sure whether I should simply go back to Marshmallow or should I wait for Samsung to roll out 7.1.1. but then, I don't even know if (and when) we're going to get 7.1. The question is, If do update to 7.1 (when it comes out), can I still go back to Marshmallow If I don't like it? Would it still be possible?
Naninoni, 22 Oct 2017thnx bro for ur opinion I appreciate it very much ill see what i can do cuz for the moment i c... moreTo me, the only real advantages J7 pro has over J7 2016 is that, it has that extra GB of ram, an improved camera, and being a newer phone, it is most likely going to get updates faster (not to forget that it runs Android 7.1.1 already). That apart, I honestly don't think it has any other (real) advantages over J7 2016, apart from the fact that it's pricier ;) Yes, it has a 1080p display, a fingerprint sensor, and all that. But J7 2016's display isn't bad by any stretch of imagination. In fact, it's got a gorgeous display. I can wager that you'll love it, once you get used to it, you won't need a full HD display. The most important thing is, both have the same Exynos 7870 processor. To me, a smartphone isn't much of an upgrade unless it has a faster CPU. That's my opinion. Having said that, J7 pro is a gorgeous phone, it has a very good camera. Must point out that J7 2016 has a very capable camera.
So unless you're looking for a better camera, a fingerprint sensor, I think J7 2016 should serve you well. As far as my personal opinion goes, J716 is a really good phone.
Bottom line - Choice is yours :)
Yeah, you can't really go wrong with any of them. J7 2016 is still a great device, but 2017 beats it in one more GB of RAM, metal body and full hd screen. Everything else is almost the same. If you can go for newer one, or even J7 Pro as someone said already here.

thank u crocop , i want to use mostly waching movies and a bit gaming.. i was in doubt choosing j5 2017 ore j7 2016.. think ill choose j7
Naninoni, 22 Oct 2017what about the battery life 3300mah does it drain fast or its good ??I usually charge it every two days, and I get around 7-8 hours of screen on time. But it all depends how you use it. My usage usually includes messaging, internet browsing and watching youtube videos, and sometimes a bit of gaming. But yeah, battery overall is beast on this phone, so it should not concern you.

Youcef, 21 Oct 2017 Please advise me to get the j5 2016 or j7 2016 which is the bestGet J7 2016 or J7 Pro if you can raise your budget a bit more. J7 2016 CPU is a lot better than Snapdragon 410 in J5. Performance is alright on both, but J7 is more future proof.
