A question on display. Appreciate your response on this. It would be really great if many people share their views.
Now Samsung uses Super AMOLED display in most of its phones. We know that it produces vivid / vibrant colors and darker black. But AMOLED display has the following disadvantages. These are scientifically proven. Many articles / reports available on net and you can check it.
1. The colours are not natural/realistic (to the original thing), but over saturated. Also the images are not sharp. (Sometime we may not be able to observe it with naked eye).
2. It suffers screen burn-in problem after about 2 years or so.
3. The colours get degraded / deteriorates over a period of time.
4. The white is yellowish, but not pure white.
And it is said that (as per tested reports), IPS LCD display is better than Super AMOLED in the following aspects.
1. IPS LCD display produces natural colours and sharper images.
2. Screen burn-in problem is not there in IPS LCD.
3. The white is pure white.
I am wondering, when AMOLED has these major disadvantages, how come Samsung using AMOLED screens.
Not only that, why many users prefer AMOLED screens over IPS LCD, when it has the above said disadvantages which are very important. Is it just for vibrant colors which are not natural / realistic (to the original thing)
Pls share your view.
