Punyaslok, 22 Sep 2017Factory reset the phone by press and hold volume, power and home key. Clear all cache partion ... moreGood technical info....But the truth is j7 2016 comes with Li-ion battery not Li-polimer.....
Rvvvi, 22 Sep 2017I updated that but still the same problem is there...Factory reset the phone by press and hold volume, power and home key. Clear all cache partion and reboot. Hope this will solve your issue. I am writting this still my battery 71% and alsmost 2% consumed in a normal use and 4% consumed in heavy use per hour. Technically bettery power reduction may faster in 100 to 90% and slower in 80 to 40% and then again higher in 40 to 15%. This is normal behavior of a li-polimor battery. The question is how OS is stable and handle it. Its tottaly depends on the device Karnel file which hold the codes
I hope the new update has a hotspot bugfix because mine's broken.
Rvvvi, 22 Sep 2017I updated that but still the same problem is there...Do a factory reset then.
India received the Nougat 7.0 update since one one month. But you may face battery drain issue. I have reported this to Samsung RnD. Even if you keep phone locked battery may keep loosing its power. Now thanks to Samsung they have released a new 33MB update yesterday, no: 161228 which solved this issue and battery now last long ever before. Guys please check for your OTA update in settings and install this update as soon as possible. I have used the phone entire day and still its 71% power remains. Hats up to Samsung. You may have not the best designed phones but you have most advanced and stable android OS. Softwere updates are frequent.

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2017unplugged the charger mateof course it's been unplugged. haha. I wouldn't post such feedback if I was using the phone plugged in.
Everythings is fine but only main problem is with overnight battery consumption which is 15-20%.. and may get solved with 33.89mb security update patch which is rolled out today.
Anonymous, 21 Sep 2017what region ? many Indian users complain about faster battery drain I'm from the Philippines. I did a factory reset after the update. I'm not experiencing battery drain on mine. had my phone fully charged last night, and I actually did some data browsing and texting for maybe 10 minutes or so and it's still at 100% when I went to sleep. woke up and it's still 100% and my phone's screen has been on, data connection is on, for 5 minutes now and the battery is still full.
