Well, it is normal for battery to drain faster when you are on 4G, it happens to me and I'm on Marshmallow, and most of the people will probably put their brightness somewhere in the middle, I use it that way all the time. And with this, I usually get around 7 hours of screen on time, if I'm on wifi most of the time I get over 8. So, is there really any major difference on Nougat?

in nougat, battery actually charge to 92%
then it drop to 90% and slowly increase to 93% and instantly show 100%

after 92% reached, there is no charging current from charger.

danger.is.myname, 30 Sep 2017Without switching on anything... i generally use 2 sims and ll work on mobile data... bt in id... moreHow long 1 full charge last?
And how much screen on time?

in Android 6, mobile data on whole day, SOT - 3 hours. last only 1 day
in Wifi, it last 2 days and SOT 6 hours.

I noticed that nougat battery management is very bad. it is not linear.

J710 had very good battery life of 20 hours of video playback time. (may be ~15 hours in practically)
but with nougat, its reduced lot.

Nougat, it charge to 4.34 and in marshmallow, it was 4.42

I did not had noticeable battery drain in idle. but I have fast drain while use it. much faster if mobile data use.

trajcevasilev94, 30 Sep 2017Read this helpfull thing: (Questions and Answers for most problems/issues and stuff about this... moreOk let s consider your settings for batter drain even for the latest editions of j series inc j7 pro j7 max hve same setting and same capacity of battery.. but they dnt hve battery drain.. it is bcz software is fully optimised for that devices..
Considering our update ..software is not fully optimised espically in case of battery...so dnt blindly change your settings..it ll affect your device perfomance..

Moreover outof box marshmallow rom is fully optimised with the phone ..so there is no battery issues and up come around 2days of my usage..suppose if my mobile has 56% charge on 1st day n8..second day morning it l be 55%..but nougat rom is consuming more power ..for same scenerio i could see only 21%..again if i remove my battery and insert it it ll show 17-18 %..dnt blame on battery it was perfectly alright.. i hve came back to nougat...

Read this helpfull thing: (Questions and Answers for most problems/issues and stuff about this device)
1:
Q: I still haven't received the nougat update, what do i do?
A:It depends where you live, how good is your network carrier with releasing updates, the place where you bought it,the model of this device and and is it locked unlocked. What you should do is wait and be patient,it should come. If not try flashing your device and getting it(If you don't know what this means google it up and see.)
2:
Q:After nougat update battery drain happens more, what do i do to solve this?
A: For those who are facing battery drain try this
After Nougat update I noticed in
1) Connections settings SIM 1 was LTE/3G/2G Auto mode and SIM 2 was 3G/2G automode i change it 2G if you keep it on 3G/2G automode it uses more battery even in idle. Other thing is when using mobile data consider changing it to 3G rather than 4G because 4G uses more data and battery.
2) Go to location settings in that select location method battery savings which will turn off GPS ,turn it to high accuracy while using maps
3) Go to connections settings select more connections settings turn off near by device scanning and also turn off Samsung print plugin
4) Go advanced features turn direct share off turn on it while using it
5) Go to location settings select high accuracy turn off WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning turn it on while using it !! Try it
If none of this helps:
Samsung saw that the update brought some issues such as in this case the battery drain. For this samsung has released a 33MB+ Update and you should consider checking in Software Updates if it's up available at you. Once you receive it,if your device works fine there's no need to factory reset it. If it does not then you should give it a go and see if it works.
3:
Q:My device takes a lot time to charge or gets stuck at certain levels(Such as 97%)
A:Just use a shorter charger, switch to a different one and see if that solves the problem or use the one that came off with your device.
4:
Q: Hotspot not working,what do i do?
A: Go to settings mobile hotspot then check timeout and configure settings , then you to location settings select improve accuracy in that turn off WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning !! And boom, after this it should work.
5:
Q: Ram usage too high, device gets slow sometimes or it heats/overheats,what do i do?
A: Consider checking Device Maintenance where you can manage your device. It has tools such as:
-Clean junk memory
-Clean battery drain apps
-Clean ram usage apps
-Scan device for any malware(Acticve Knox Protection Included, but restart required to apply)
-Battery power save modes
-And more
I really hope that this helps you a lot.

rajdeep4460, 28 Sep 2017anyone there who's upgraded their fone to nougat, wht about the performance. hw long... moreIt was a bit slow after the upgrade but as soon as i did a factory reset it outsolved most of my problems such as battery drain.Performance is really great, cpu gpu,and ram power was increased and now games run smooth like a butter.Ram usage is pretty normal and fine, most bugs are solved, camera is fine and really easy to use.I love the new UI and it has lot's of new features. Deffinently go for it.
+Some users claim that the update has increased battery drain rather than it was on Marshmallow, but luckily samsung has released another 33MB+ update that fixes most bugs and issues caused after nougat update such as battery drain.
