AnonD-708981, 02 Dec 2017Really? I went to the nearest Samsung service centre. They said they can't, didn't know how to... moreI am living in the United Arab Emirates and now I am using MM after using 3 months in Nogat. I advise you to go to any local mobile repairing shop and ask them. They can definitely do this. Do not go to Samsung's official store. Sorry, I'm not good in English
Anonymous, 02 Dec 2017Go to any mobile shop and give them some money, They will flash stock rom. Yesterday i did it... moreReally? I went to the nearest Samsung service centre. They said they can't, didn't know how to do it. Where are you from anyway?
AnonD-708981, 02 Dec 2017I wish there was a complete step-by-step tutorial on how to downgrade to Marshmallow, with do'... moreGo to any mobile shop and give them some money, They will flash stock rom.
Yesterday i did it.
Now I'm using MM.
But still there is a update notification.
And yeah, I never wanted to update. I was really "more than happy" with Marshmallow. But I just couldn't get the "update notification" inside the settings app to go away. I even called up Samsung care and asked them if it was possible to get rid of that notification. They said it was not. And one day, I accidently tapped it. Once it started downloading the update, there was no way to cancel. I quickly turned off the wifi. But it picked it up again when I turned the wifi back on after coupla hours. That's how I ended up with Nougat
I wish there was a complete step-by-step tutorial on how to downgrade to Marshmallow, with do's and don't's. Having never done it before and knowing the risks involved makes me think twice (and thrice) before doing it. I would be more than happy with Marshmallow, won't need any damn update!
trajcevasilev94, 01 Dec 2017J5(2016) got Android 7.1.1 with Samsung Experience 8.5,while this device got Android 7.0 with ... moreI don't think Samsung would release 7.1.1 for j7(2016) because they are now busy in Oreo updates so hope for Oreo update although j7(2016) would not get it before oct-nov 2018 because of A series of 2016-17 and then J series of 2017 also j7 pro,max etc.
J5(2016) got Android 7.1.1 with Samsung Experience 8.5,while this device got Android 7.0 with Samsung Experience 8.1
J5(2016)has less bugs because it runs on 7.1.1 while the more powerful J7(2016) has way more bugs on 7.0
We're hopefully waiting for Samsung to release Android 7.1.1 for us so that it could fix all the ram management issues and battery drain issues. If not then we might go straight to Android Oreo just like the S8 will(skipping Android 7.1.1)but living half a year with pain....eeh then idk to be honest. But all we know is that this device will receive Android Oreo(has been leaked;not confirmed)but J5(2016) likely won't get Android Oreo sadly.Hoping that Samsung will push Android 7.1.1(we need to make Samsung do it)before Android Oreo, fixing all kind of issues and preparing for the upcoming latest Android Oreo.
Nougat update needs few charge cycles to stability of battery life.
do following steps and try.
full discharge to 0%
full charge to 100%
after that, use phone as regular way. you should use nougat at least 5 days before compare battery life with mm.
Mm have non linear battery indicator. 100% to 50% slow. 50% to 0% is faster.
in nougat, battery is linear.
AnonD-709674, 29 Nov 2017Wait some days, after some days he will be fine with this update basically we compare new upda... moreYou're right. And I think it's perfectly fine that we compare, no? Because the least we expect is that our phone runs as well as it was, prior to the update.
You're right though. He might just get used to the issues, and might learn to live with it. But an update is supposed to make a phone better overall. Just adding new features at the cost of some really important aspects like multitasking, battery backup..etc, that's not what an update is supposed to do.
There are users who are completely satisfied with the update, there are users who are not. Those who are having issues, it's completely natural that they want to go back to marshmallow.
I really hope Samsung rolls out an update that fixes the issues. Though I'm not holding my breath. I don't hold out much hope
AnonD-708981, 29 Nov 2017It's not very hard to figure out. He doesn't like the update and wants to go back to Marshmallow Wait some days, after some days he will be fine with this update basically we compare new update from last version that we had so that's why we don't get satisfaction...
PekY, 28 Nov 2017Well i don't mate.. i was watching tutorials on You Tube.. to be honest its 50/50 i was so ner... moreThanks mate. I'm kinda nervous lol. But I guess I'll probably end up doing it. I wish downgrading wasn't so complicated :/
It probably isn't as complicated as it seems. But I've never done it before, and the fact that it might potentially brick my phone makes me really nervous
AnonD-709674, 29 Nov 2017Why you want downgrading??It's not very hard to figure out. He doesn't like the update and wants to go back to Marshmallow

AnonD-709674, 28 Nov 2017Maybe that list was fake Source mentioned it as valid source but after looking in to our matter of not getting Nougat it seems fake to me.
Anonymous, 28 Nov 2017samsung should fix Nougat bugs before they release Oreo for J7. otherwise Oreo will be more useless With the passage of time you will get familiar with these bugs because there is very less hope that Samsung is going to do anything about these lags.
Ani, 28 Nov 2017Where are you from? I'm from Bulgaria and i have nougat from 1 month. Then you are a lucky customer of Samsung
