Anonymous, 27 Nov 2017I tested MM battery life 2 days ago. 100% - 9% (2 days 7 hours lasted. 9 hours screen on time ... moreSimilar results here. I'm not a casual user. But battery used to last 2+ days for me, on Marshmallow. Now it struggles.
PekY, 23 Nov 2017Okey.. my opinion about nougat update is this.. good battery life in comparison to marshmallow... moreI'd like to downgrade to Marshmallow too. But I've never done it before, and hence I'm a little hesitant. Is it safe? Do you have a tutorial? I'm using SM-J710FN

j76, 27 Nov 2017Do you have a battery drain issue? How about the touch? Any pros and cons ? It would be great ... moreThe Noga system offers a great speed and low battery consumption... so good .. this is my opinion

You can't really compare battery by screen on time only, since it depends on how are you using your device. Playing games for example, will obviously discharge your battery faster than just browsing the web let's say. So yeah, for me battery life is the same as it was on Marshmallow. I charge it every second night and I get around 7-8 hours of screen on time. I mostly use my device for watching Youtube, sending messages via Whatsapp or Messanger for example, browsing the web, and of course some calls. So yeah, Nougat update is just great in my opinion. You get tons of new features, UI is more modern looking, and it runs the same as when it was on Marshmallow.
battery draining faster than Marshmallow! after updating to nougat battery is draining too fast....and charging is slower than marshmallow....anyone having the same problem?
j76, 27 Nov 2017Do you have a battery drain issue? How about the touch? Any pros and cons ? It would be great ... moreI tested MM battery life 2 days ago. 100% - 9% (2 days 7 hours lasted. 9 hours screen on time 50% daytime, 20% night, Wifi constantly on, general use, no gaming, 2 sim)
Yesterday midnight I upgraded to Nougat. fully charged, disconnect charger at 6:30 in the morning today.
Now battery level 72%, screen on time 3 hours, wifi on
100% -> 72% in 15 hours
in MM, it took little more than 24 hours to drop 100% to 72%
AnonD-698255, 23 Nov 2017Got nougat update in Sri Lanka. Do you have a battery drain issue? How about the touch? Any pros and cons ? It would be great if you can give a good review about the update
AnonD-718684, 27 Nov 2017This device is so good and supports nougat and oreo 8.0😍Areo also ??
This device is so good and supports nougat and oreo 8.0😍
Nougat drains battery faster than MM. we should accept this. Nougat is new, new features, UI is mostly "white" for OLED display, white is more power drawn than black.
Another thing - Samsung reduced charge voltage of battery. it was 4.40V early in the MM, now Naugat charge battery to 3.30V. this made approximately 10% of reduced battery capacity. this is the reason for slow charge. phone reach 89-92% battery level and wait long time to reach 100%
Idle battery drain little higher than MM. may be because both SIM cards now support 3G
Anonymous, 26 Nov 2017does it charges to 100% as marshmallow? Yes it is. and before you update it do a factory reset and then update. again do a factory reset. update is good for me tho.
Anonymous, 27 Nov 2017Battery drains faster after upgrading to Nougat in bangladeshDo factory data reset
