Still NO Update for Nougat for my J7 Prime here in the Philippines its almost 2018 but still NO update
Im using samsung galaxy j7 prime duos SM-G610F/DS
I think the mobile was purchased in kuwait and im using it in india
the problem is im not receiving any updates and the last android security patch level was on 1 feb 2017
whenever i check for the software update it says "Latest update is installed" i also checked using smartswitch there also us says "your device software is up to date: QB4(XSG)"
i have seen in sammobile that the nougat firmware for the country(xsg) is available.

I have a j7 prime upgraded to nougat 7.0 and everything is very weel functionning without any bugs.GSM ARENA is the best site concerning faith in smartphones!!!
I am not facing battery drain or any battery related issue as it take around 2.45 hr for full charge in nougat.but the finger print is unresponsive /slow to response when 2/3 apps run on background.sometime it happens when there is no background apps .
how's the screen? im going to purchase this phone but is afraid that if it fell, the screen will crack because it doesnt have a gorilla glass protection
Fahd, 27 Oct 2017Hi i also have this problem is their any solution ?unfortunately there is no solution. seems like a problem with j7 prime. I even visited services centre. they replaced the charging port then the problem was solved but charging time increased to 5 hours. then again i visited service centre they solved the problem but then battery drainage problem. and finally when it got nougat upgrade, i hoped the problem might be solved but again no luck. the charging time increased. battery drainage at standby mode increased. at last i could not further visit service centre as most of the j7 prime users experiencing the problem. so i finally decided to sell my device. and now i am using j7 pro without any problems.
