PKM1, 29 Jul 2017Samsung names are very confusing these days, C 7 pro, J 7 pro and the shopkeeper takes advant... moreI forgot Z series.
Z series devices are powered by Tizen Operating System. This OS also powers Samsung Gear smartwatches. Tizen OS is developed by
Samsung & Intel. Before this Nokia & Intel
were developing MeeGo OS. Remember Nokia N9, the all touch device with no front buttons, navigation via swipe gestures. When Nokia abandoned MeeGo in favor of Windows, its developers left Nokia & formed successor of MeeGo known as Sailfish OS, which is now found in Jolla mobiles & can be ported to Xperia devices.
PKM1, 29 Jul 2017Samsung names are very confusing these days, C 7 pro, J 7 pro and the shopkeeper takes advant... moreS series are high end flagship devices with Samsung's best & latest technology. They compete with Apple iPhone & HTC. Available globally.
A series maintain the same design & almost similar premiumness as of S series, but with slightly reduced chipsets comparatively. These can be categorized as higher mid-range or lower high-end devices. Available almost globally. They have glasses both sides.
C series was launched initially exclusively for China to compete aggressively with the Chinese brands. Later they're expanding to other developing countries. Till date it is not available globally. C series are metal unibodies. "All the C series models" are equipped with Qualcomm Chipsets unlike other series which "MAJORLY" is of Exynos.
J series is of low budget devices. This series is especially made for developing countries, where Chinese & local firms have good market share. Its also sold in developed countries. Generally there will be certain compromises here & there in these models.
S = Super-smart flagships.
A = Alpha, Mini S with chipsets & prices reduced.
C = Chinese Companies Competitors.
J = Jack of all, master of none.
These are my opinions. I don't declare anything here
