Still now this is in good condition in 2025.The phone still works but there is some lags here and there, fingerprint doesn't work.3500mah battery gets 6-7 hrs screentime while in flight mode, but when sim in inserted less battery backup. Used as secondary phone for watching youtube, anime ,movies and reading pdfs manga,newspapers etc. and to listen to music. Audio is nice since it supports dolby audio. display is also nice good hd(not full hd) amoled display. takes 2.5 hrs for full charging since there is no fastcharging. camera is good but could have been better color accuracy and sharpness, but for normal use ok. OS now android 10 and security patch of september 2021, no more updates.knox version 3.5(knox api level 31), tima 4.0, one ui 2.0

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2024Mine too is working since 5 years, 6 months, but battery charging is too slow and it takes 5 h... moreMine is 6 years old and i typing from that , i found a solution to slow charging, just go to a local phone shop abd buy a fast charger, i easily got one for 200 rupees (assuming u live in india) and then it charges 36 percent in 1 hour which is quite fast in comparison to its original samsung charger, my charger was itel 5 or maybe 10 watt, install AMPERE app it should go to max 1000 to 1200, averagely 800 to 950(just to check)

Ggif, 07 Jul 2024Mine still going strong almost 6 years, want to replace with another budget phone like a25 - a55.Mine too is working since 5 years, 6 months, but battery charging is too slow and it takes 5 hours to get complete charge. No other Samsung phones are good at present except S24 Ultra, but S24 Ultra is too expensive without any reason.

Okay so this phone really just served me well for 5 years until I switched to iPhone where it started lagging like crazy, deleting/corrupting videos/pictures or even text messages, then when I gave it to my son, it died out to the infamous (MMC_Read_Failed) or the (MMC_Write_Failed) error and just died out fully after a week of that error appearing, now it's just some paperweight in my wardrobe, I really didn't repair it as I don't really want to delete all memories on this Because it needed a fully new MMC.

While being a very slow phone navigating inside the os it is still pretty fluent because samsung's OneUI is pretty optimized. That's why now I am switching to S24. Served me well for over two years. Also the battery is not good ngl.

J8 after 5 years still works, the problems are the battery not enough for 3 hours on Wifi and the screen has a lot of cracks but still functioning. This phone is so durable that multiple drops can't kill the panel. Now it's time to switch to Galaxy A15.

This has been serving my dad well until he dropped it where it just made the infamous "mmc_read_failed" error
