Today Samsung has officially launched it's Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 models in India and priced at 25100 and 31500 respectively. I think, Samsung has launched it first only in India.
It is good to have a phone with big screen. But if it too big, it would be difficult to carry and even to use, and so such models may fail. I feel, Samsung Galaxy Grand is the correct size. So here we have to wait and see how Samsung Mega models are going to perform in sales.
Also the price is too high for the given specification. Considering the price and the size, I think, many won't go for these phones. The success rate is just 50-50.
What is your view... Do you like this phone. Are you planning to buy this.
Samsung no doubt has good phones and specs but the designs are dull and boring, wonder if the designers in Samsung are lost out there do know what do to...stuck with the same design for ages now, they need to use metal finish like HTC, chuck this boring design and come out with something neat and eye catching...Edward..!
a day will come when we will see in ads that 'special samsung smartphone trouser free with phone'
big screen mobile always have a good resolution it's very low.not better
Since apple didn’t release anything new in their phone for long time Samsung ran out of ideas to copy so now their own innovation is screen size modification. I just want to understand something. What are they trying to achieve here ? The other day I saw this guy walking down the street with a ‘phone’ pressed onto his ear which was even bigger in size than the tile in my kitchen ! Its all so insane.
Wastage of money. You can get better features in LG Google Nexus 4. 390$ if you buy in US and around 26K in India.
Samsung should start manufacturing jeans with pockets that can accommodate their oversized phones…

Juck, 24 May 2013 Mega 5.8 must be an entry level phablet for 2013. hope it cost not more than $220.In India its Rs 25100 but it has no radio why? Even duos 7562 has it.
it really doesn't matter if its dual core or quad core becoz performance is dependent on quality and precise combination of assembly of components...there r many dual core phones having 4-5 times better performance than some cheap quadcores ...lets see how galaxy 5.8 comes out to be
