Dude, dual sim version for Mega 6.3 is not launched yet. The phone on which you are commenting is single sim phone. So that's not a "jok" its a "fakt"
Anonymous, 21 Aug 2013What no 8 core cpu/gpu 1080p screen???? dual core really????????? 720 screen??????Someone fell... moredual core because Mega 6.3 is a midrange phone only, number of cores isn't important, as long as the phone can handle heavy usage and have a looooooong battery life then its the best
What no 8 core cpu/gpu 1080p screen???? dual core really????????? 720 screen??????Someone fell asleep at the switch at Samsung?????
Just perfect...large yet portable. Fits perfectly for large screen lovers.
shaun, 20 Aug 2013Im surprised and dissappointed that this mega phone only has a dual core processor rather than... moreI am pitty over your "little screen" phone even your upcomming Note3 5.7" is no match to our Giant 6.3" screen muhahahaha.
[deleted post]You can't move apps to SD card for all JB Android unless you risk the warranty & other function to root your phone.
mobilityengineers, 20 Aug 2013Funny how opinions on here often tend toward viewing every device as if it must be of flagship... moreWell said sir !
The Mega is what it is - no more (well...maybe just a little more) and no less. Samsung need not apologise as they did not set out to make this a high end phone with quad core etc etc to fuel the wet dreams of techies with this model.Maybe they will for the successor but for now this phablet performs well and more importantly gives good user experience to the right users, of course.
Funny how opinions on here often tend toward viewing every device as if it must be of flagship level. This is a Mid-Range Phablet device. Its specs reflect this well. Samsung has built the Galaxy device lineup to enable more endusers more choices to allow those not seeking the flagship price to purchase a moderately spec'd device over 6".
Whether a fan of Samsung or not they've taken the market with strong business acumen. Don't fault the device just because it lacks quad CPU or being a 720p display. My guess being this device will run nicely and perform well for the class and category foe which it's designed. If you need more await Samsung's next flagship phablet.
Im surprised and dissappointed that this mega phone only has a dual core processor rather than the quad caore that all the superphones are coming out with now, even my note 2 and galaxy s4 both are quadcore processors and I love them both, 2 of the best phones that ive ever owned by far...I dont even use my icrap5 anymore, so its for sale if anyone wants it. I cant wait to get a hold of the new note 3 in a few weeks here in Canada. I already love the galaxy note tablets that I have too, best tablets ive ever had too...as well as the Sony experia z tablet, awesome device too, id love it the most of all if it had the note feature on it, then it would be the perfect tablet by far. Any and ALL icrap is the devil and I hate it all...android and especially Samsung galaxy RULE!! Just sayin.
kbradsha, 20 Aug 2013The Note 2 sounds like a better deal. At least it's 4 core and 2 gigs of ram. The screen is ... moreDon't forget Note2 too need to run more apps for S pen so the additional ram may not be fully optimised.
So far try out 2 game namely temple run2 & front line commander d day both run smoothly.
Steven, 18 Aug 2013This phone is very good and the battery life is great, but if you love playing games on mobile... moreplease stop spreading wrong infos, Mega 6.3 is really good at everything you threw on it (whether music, internet, multitasking, games, etc) great for heavy users.
kbradsha, 20 Aug 2013The Note 2 sounds like a better deal. At least it's 4 core and 2 gigs of ram. The screen is ... morewhether it 's Note 2 or Mega 6.3 both phones are good on its respective categories. It depends on the user what you really prefer in a phone. Both of them is a must have phones (until Note 3 comes)
Sophicsage, 20 Aug 2013Man.....that's not a good processor. If it were at least a Snapdragon 600, it would be better.seems you dont know what you are talking about, this phone has Snapdragon 400 CPU because it is just a midrange phone. This cant be a midrange phone if it has a Snapdragon 600 CPU because Snapdragon 600-800 is for high end phones only just like Galaxy S4. Mega 6.3 will surely beat S4 with snapdragon 600 chipset. Yeah, it may have a "not so good chipset" but I can really tell you and swear, Mega 6.3 is the best and superior in the midrange phones in the market today.
Sophicsage, 20 Aug 2013Man.....that's not a good processor. If it were at least a Snapdragon 600, it would be better.Yeah, "not a good processor", that's why this phone has great overall performance and amazing battery life, because Snapdragon 400 is so "not good". Give me a break. Qualcomm hit the jackpot with this amazingly efficient chipset.
been using this phone for two weeks and I like it very much!
-gaming is not as awesome as S4 in terms of graphic performance but far from bad. However, due to the big screen, you might need some times to adjust those on screen button/control if you coming from small screen size phone. Gaming is so far very pleasant with it especially with its 6.3 inches screen!
- low PPI is not an issue at all with its 6.3 screen size! Don't worry about it.
-wish the camera was better. Quality is moderate only but still it able to capture decent photo although nothing to shout for.
-storage! can support 64GB. However, for those gamers, you need to root to manually move game data to sd card because by default entire apps data will store at 16GB internal storage.
-Speaker is loud!
overall, very satisfied with the device.
kbradsha, 20 Aug 2013The Note 2 sounds like a better deal. At least it's 4 core and 2 gigs of ram. The screen is ... morethe ram is never going to be a problem and Mega 6.3 is overall faster than Note 2 in real world performance and in benchmark performance. It's all proven. Stop being so dense and thinking "oh it's 4 cores so it must be faster".
