You are out of luck -- maybe it cost $600 at launch. they did say it is high-end, meaning expensive :P
Blame the processor and the samoled screen. they bring the price up.
If this phone costs 500 bucks or less, I will take it. I need a new phone, and I like the specs and design of this device. Also, I like the fact that it is smaller than 4"-- 4" is way too big for me. LED flash is also a good addition.
I hope it doesn't lag or crash, like the 1st issue of galaxy s.
I have tons of questions I want to ask about the phone:
1) Is the GPS okay on this device? coz I heard galaxy phones have the GPS bug on it.
2) Is the camera good? coz I use the camera and the LED flash a LOT OF TIMES daily.
3) How big is the BATTERY on this thing? I hope whatever it is, its not as small as that on the wildfire s -- 1230 amp, or else I will cry... it should be a crime to make cellphones with puny batteries, coz it makes the device useless. A phone without power, is like a car without gas -- a big hunk of junk.
4) How big is the Internal memory and RAM of this device? I hope its not just 380mb, or it will be a deal-breaker for me. I just learned the hard way that even if you got froyo 2.2, you still need to save SOME apps into the internal memory, and you cant do that with a puny internal memory of less than 500mb.
I hope this device comes out in April, like they say on the web. Can't wait to read the review!!!!!!!
i don't think that this cutie really gets super amo-led.
case it really has a super amo-led display there is no question this is the absolute highlight this year.
not as bulkie as most of the 4,3" generation and enormous power inside.
a phone that really lasts for years .. no more reason for an upgrade - except the fun of it.
meme, 22 Mar 2011If this doesn't have LED camera flash, then count me out. I bought the Galaxy Ace just coz it... morethis phone DOES HAVE AN LED FLASH.
please oh please make it affordable... :|
just hope its not a snapdragon
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2011I am more interested to know if it is single or multi core processorIt's probably singe Core, because it is supposed to be a mid-range smart phone, not a high-end one. 1.4 GHZ singe Core CPU is enough in these days! Samsung is a great company. They added the Led Flash on their latest phones as well. :D
3,7 inches is same size as Wave II, which is definitely a big phone. Too bad Samsung cannot make it smaller.
Good news, been waiting for a phone like that from Samsung to replace my Wave( which is a very good phone). Galaxy 1 or 2 far too big. Would like to see the new coming Xperia mini first. Nokia definitely dying.
Bet this thng will cost about $650 unlocked. If so, I won't buy it. Mid-range phones already cost MORE than a 32" LCD TV as it is (around $350), so why pay more?
Im still waiting for a phone that has all the stuff of this galaxy s mini-- but for less than $500 bucks. Guess i have long, long, very long time to wait...
Hey, this phone looks like a much bigger Galaxy Ace!!! cute... Loved the design of the Ace.
If this doesn't have LED camera flash, then count me out. I bought the Galaxy Ace just coz it is the only galaxy phone (besides the Mesmerize) which has LED flash.
I don't know why galaxy phones have PHOBIA with camera flash -- most galaxys don't have LED flash even though it is SO IMPORTANT when taking pics. So sad, coz galaxy phones have good cameras...
Really? Mini? This one packs a 1,4 Ghz processor while Galaxy S has a 1 Ghz and u call they call this one mini? facepalm'd! still, waiting for Galaxy micro with 32 giga memory and 2Ghz dual core processor.. lol
The phone is called "mini" in comparison with the original Samsung S II. In short, it is a "Mini" version of Samsung S II. It is not called a "mini" because of the size.
4v, 21 Mar 2011they should make it "defy-like" design. not "iphone-like" design. because ... moretotally agree! cant stand the sight of iphone design.
motorola defy has the look of its own, nice!
hope samsung can come out with something different
