tany, 14 Jun 2011hey fakrul, has galaxy mini a andreno 200 gpu?do u knw it?quardant standrad is saying it has,... moreYes. Galaxy Mini actually has Adreno 200 - That's why this low-end smartphone are capable to run 3D games since the processor onboard are very powerful indeed. Fyi the cpu inside Galaxy Mini is ARMv6 600Mhz Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with embedded Adreno 200 and OpenGL ES-CM 1.1. You can read the whole system by download software 'Android System Info' from Android Market. I'm already installed 3d games like NFS Shift, PES 2011, Assasin Creed, Winds of steel and many more to the Galaxy Mini - No lags, very awesome for cheap device. Don't forget to download benchmark software called 'Neocore' which is officially release from Qualcomm. I've got benchmark 43.6fps for Galaxy Mini while my other phone 'The Former King' Galaxy S still top at 54 points - Galaxy Mini are very impressing me!
pros: great value for money
cons: battery (3g: 1,5 days / 2g: 2-3 days)
I bought this phone 3 days ago for 135 euro and its a great choice! :)

Ammu, 13 Jun 2011Can any help me, how to set ringtone for specific contacts..? How to change profile and msg tone..?For individual contact ringtone: Go to Contact - choose your contact and touch for 2 second then the menu appear - choose 'Edit' and scrol down until you see menu 'Ringtone'. Android phone lacks of Profile Management but you can search Android market and download apk 'Profile', 'Profile Changer' or etc.
i bought this mobile 2 days ago..the features and performance are really awesome..it costs Rs.9k in erode..its Android man..having a lot of applications than any other mobile platform..the only drawback is that it doesnt have the much recent version of Bluetooth 3.0...one special thing about this phone is that its sensitivity is so fine and accurate..some claims that this phone is having a low-resolution screen..but that cannot be identified by appearance..moreover high-res screen consumes more battery...so, no wonder that Galaxy mini is an All-round performer..go 4 it..
@Mustafa - Galaxy mini has QVGA 240x320 pixels on 3.14 inches screen display. And yes, at this size you'll notice a distorted font or image especially when browsing webpage. If you want better screen i suggest Galaxy Gio or Ace which has HVGA 320x480 on 3.2/3.5 inches screen.

To all Galaxy mini and Android user, don't be too excited to update your android until you know exactly the pros and cons of updating the firmware by yourself. I can't say it was hard or easy to do firmware updates but most important is you know what are the risk behind of this action. If you're still uncertain in flashing ROM, then I recommend you just wait until Samsung announced the galaxy mini firmware update via Kies Suite.
Fyi i'm a computer technician and had experience flashing mainboard BIOS for many times and also updating phone firmware especially brand Nokia and Sony Ericsson. I'm also installing O/S for PC/Laptop and smartphone like Pocket PC (Windows Mobile & CE) and GPS software. I've done a couple times 'blank' the mainboard when something goes wrong but had 100% success flashing mobile phone. I did know the concequences by flashing the firmware because any failure during flashing will end up your device in non-recovery state which is only can be repair by manufacturer only.
I'm already updates my Galaxy i9000 a month ago and it fix a lot Froyo minor issues. However there is still a flaw i think that should resolve and it might be fix it on version 2.3.4. For galaxy mini i just update it about 5 days ago and it's done succesfully as i did to Galaxy S before. If you have any question prior to updating android, just find a good forum with Gingerbread topic. I won't assist you how to make it because this post are just for opinion only. Sorry to say that guys...
