My Samsung Galaxy S II LTE (Rogers enhanced edition) is far better. Its specs are basically a Galaxy II S LTE HD. Dual 1.5GHZ, 1850 mAh battery, 4.5" screen, 1GB ram, 8MP rear w/flash, 2MP front, GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA+/HSUPA/and Dual band LTE (700mhz and AWS1700 for early North American adopters). EVERYTHING on my phone is better, except the .15" less screen size (Big deal) and the Android 2.3 vs. 3. But I'm sure an upgrade will be released to deal with this.
The problem with the Galaxy S II is SOOOO many editions have been launched all with different specs based on the providers. My phone is more or less the exact same thing as a Galaxy S II LTE HD but with extra radio bands and 0.15" less of screen (big deal, were already at 4.5", c'mon).
This phone is just hype because of the Nexus name. Get the Rogers LTE Galaxy S II if your in Canada, or the LTE GALAXY S II HD if your international. I think the US has something similar to the Rogers edition.
Just my two cents, thanks for listening.
Rate iof the galaxy is relesed annd its apps and roting tricks are available at http://androidsymbianmarket.blogspot.com
raj, 15 Dec 2011anyone know its price???You have no hands to search it? ebay, amazon...?
Besides that, it varies from 700 - 900$.
can someone tell my why this phone shows "LTE 700 (region specific)" in the specs... I thouhgt the LTE version was only the Verizon version...
Can someone please clarify this?
I have been using this phone for the past 2 weeks, having owned 3 HTC phones I have to admit the user interface of the Galaxy Nexus is not as good compared to the HTC, interm of texting, pre-setting functions and certain controls, also the battery life is crap, when fully chaged 80% battery goes with watching a movie which lasted no longer then 40 minutes, whereas HTC Desire S can last a lot longer. The upset to this phone is the large quality clear screen, I love watching movie on this phone, is it crystal clear specially when you are watching fast moving action film without any issue, also it is great with your are surfing the internet, the speed is very quick and the large screen really help and make it more userfriendly. There are a lot of people have been complaining about the size of this phone, to be honest I think is it pretty good size, I am only 5ft 8 inc pretty average size guy, I have not issue using this phone, it is a great mobile smart phone very light for the size of it and the quality of the screen is excellent. the only down side it the user interface and the battery life.
I purcahsed the nexus s when it first hit the stores, and i'm not a happy camper !!!From dropped calls to a very short battery life I am very dis- appointed with this phone. There is no way the Galaxy can be any better.
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2011It's a Great phone i ever use, Simply it's the BestDoes it have Gtalk Video and Voice like Nexus S had

Denzo, 13 Dec 2011fair comments for the most part, but how do you know "that the human eye can detect"... moreThat's because any pixel density over 300 (ppi); can not be distinguished through naked eye.
Guys, no joke, I cant explain it. This is THE phone. All my gs2 friends whi have handled an used this phone agree with me. Its a better experience, its just feels superior. The camera soecs is lower yes, but no GS2 owner who gets a test of this treasure will pass up on the oppurtunity to trade. THIS IS THE BEST MOBILE PHONE TODAY PERIOD. It goes bryond yhe spec sheet. Shame on all the reviewers that nearly made me doubt my insticts to get this unique mobile. I am finally satisfied.
nothing beats siri. Ok so this phone has alot of potential to sell well but there are still things the iphone has and does better. this is definatly the better android phone i have seen but hey its almost classed as a tablet because of the size lol. once its in your hand it doesnt feel too big but it makes my iphone look tiny haha. really nice display but the UI will still not compair to the iphone and that is the most important part of a touch screen phone the rest is just a bonus in reality...
Hi there guys does anyone Know how to do a factory data reset on this handset using key combinations such as volume keys and power. It currently gives the menu but does nothing else when you navigate to it.
no adobe flash player in this device,,, many files not open,,, looool same iPhone
Mikey, 12 Dec 2011True, but the human eye cannot really detect a higher resolution than 720p at this screen siz... morefair comments for the most part, but how do you know "that the human eye can detect". seriously. Everyone is different. I know I would be able to no problems. Liek for me, SGS2 screen looks disgustingly over pixelated compared with iPhone 4/4S
SGS2fanboy, 12 Dec 2011Wow.. PowerVR SGX540 GPU, 5Mpx Camera, a design that sick.. Seriously Google, is that what you... moreAbsolutly 100% agree with you..This is supposed to be Android/Google flagship staus smartphone with just pure unadulterated Android in its pure form..I have SGS2 and its so much better and more pocketable and cheaper now..This flagship should set the pace for the next year.
Anyhow i cant live without that center button now on a mobile and ive heard this of a few other people i know..In this awful full touchscreen world any real button is welcome but using lock info i can tap centre button and bring up info for few seconds.I would love to see real send/end buttons on full touch mobile and d-pad with centre button for ultimate control input.
