ugly handset and still not anywhere near as good as the s2 spec wise. but since owning the s2 i have realised that it is going to be difficult to beat! wonder how the new android will hold up thou?
The resolution! 720 x 1280 pixels Is way better than 480 x 800 pixels!!
AnonD-6176, 27 Oct 2011how is this better then the s2 the s2 is way better then this Let's see. The Galaxy Nexus has a higher resolution screen than the S II ( http://rs20.mine.nu/w/2011/10/720p-pentile-galaxy-nexus-comparison-simulation/ .) The Galaxy Nexus has a faster CPU and GPU, because of its OMAP 4460 chipset. Note that the OMAP 4460 is a faster OMAP 4430, which is faster than the S II ( http://www.mysamsungwave.com/index.php?topic=6173.0 .) There you have it, better, better, better and better!
viru, 28 Oct 2011Samsung Galaxy II is way better than Nexus. I can't see any major wovs for nexus...You just don't get something man. The Nexus series are the series which comes with the LATEST OS version. The Galaxy series are the phones with the GREATEST specs. The same happened with the Nexus S and SG2. The Nexus S was announced with the Gingerbread last year in December. After 2 months Samsung announced their flagship phone, the SG2.
ian, 28 Oct 2011Too BIG!!!!pls make phone at most 4 inch screen.I think that 4 inch is not enough these days. You need at least a 4.3 inch screen. I saw a GS2 with my eyes, and I know what I am talking about. It can fit in your pocket well.
Samsung Galaxy II is way better than Nexus. I can't see any major wovs for nexus...
wow 4.65 inches, without buttons.. so it should be about the same size as other 4.3 inch phones? (given physical buttons takes up space?)
wish it had 64gb versions
AnonD-27633, 25 Oct 2011Experienced users, please help!
I'm undecided what to buy: I used Nokia phones since 1993. ... moreMostly nowadays smartphone is need to charge at least two days in single charge(minimum usage)which is good already in battery performance, so it's quiet hard to find a phone that suitable with your need, especially the battery life problem.
I suggest you to buy a blackberry, I'm a blackberry user and very satisfied with it's usability and performance. also BlackBerry GPS is nice. my usage is just for mailing, messaging, chatting, and a bit multimedia content, and I just need a single charge to keep it for two days and sometimes 3 days. Just a simple yet phone, but if you need some high tech features and technology, I suggest you to go for samsung galaxy s2, it's extremely awesome. if u like to go for blackberry, well you may go for the Bold or curve options which is the battery power is a bit long lasting than the other blackberries type.
hope it would help.
AnonD-6176, 27 Oct 2011how is this better then the s2 the s2 is way better then this Wth. This is much better than s2
waste of time handset , with no unique features . the camera is worse than the S2 ....so why would you bother.
face recognition is both gimmicky and too time consuming to be bothered with
new android software is a plus , however just get the s2 and upgrade that .
srinusmart, 27 Oct 2011Still 1.2GHz only?? Why can't you use 1.5GHz processors?? anyway excellent. amazing phone. like it. Battery life is why. LTE radios are battery killers. Put that with a higher clocked processor and you have your battery being kicked in the teeth.
Anonymous, 26 Oct 2011LOL Did you know that even new Droid Razr uses AMOLED screen?Droid RAZR uses Super AMOLED.. And It has Gorilla Glass so please do not get confused between Display type and Surface type :P
Saad, 27 Oct 2011Lol, Are you insane? this is wayyy too better then SGS II, not just in size, in specs also. Samsung Galaxy SII = 8 MP
Samsung Galaxy Nexus = 5 MP
Samsung Galaxy SII = 2 MP (secondary camera)
Samsung Galaxy Nexus = 1.3 MP (secondary camera)
"way too better" ? Please...
AnonD-27956, 27 Oct 2011where's 8mp . . ?? NOT the MP is important lol! The sensor is the most important not the count of the MP. A 5 MP camera phone can make better photos than a phone with 8 MP. Maybe that this phone can take better photos than the Omnia HD for example.
