a 5 mp cam with a high quality lens can be much better than any 8 mp phone cam... the specs for this phone look nice yet its a pretty ugly phone, but i like it anyway
Why Samsung always come out with ugly looking phone? They should hire designer from Sony!
this is one sexy phone, but il be waiting for the HTC with this OS on... and android should have better marketing strategies by the way as its soooooo much better than IOS
"megapixel" in a tiny camera chip does NOT equal quality.
I've seen & taken excellent 5MP shots (7 year old Sony point & shoot), but sadly the internet is full of horribly blurry and grainy and noisy "cameraphone" pictures.
The quality of photography dropped off a cliff when they put cameras in phones and introduced picasa/facebook/etc. People upload horribly dreadful pictures of... well, often its hard to tell.
I like how Apple put emphasis on increasing picture quality for the 4S. I hope the Nexus did the same thing. I'd trade any-megapixel for great 5MP any day.
missing/8mp back, 2mp front, wifi direct, usb on the go, micro sd card slot, hdmi or mhl,was hopimg for at least 1.5ghz duol core.besides all that im still buying.
5Mp is kind of a let down, but the optics should be very good so snap shots may actually look better and happen faster. I'm more disappointed in the processor and even ram. Chipset looks good. Looks like the real star is the OS though, just like the iphone release. Not a worthwhile upgrade from my GS2. Will wait for next Nexus or GS3.
Too big... one centimeter taller than S2, completely impossible to be held from top-bottom with a single hand (I sometimes do this way to "relax" from the usual stance).
Clearly my next device will be smaller than my current S2, not bigger...
Decent specs but seriously it's SO UGLY. Why can't Samsung hire designers?
it's not about how many mp does the camera have, but the quality of th lens.
stop posting such childish comments about 5mp camera on GALAXY Nexus
What is the big deal with the camera. Are you really going to make bigger then paper size photos. No, most of us are going to post it on-line or make photo size prints. A lot people don't realize that you only need high mega-pixels when you make photo that are bigger then print size. I for one really don't care to much about a bigger sensor. If I wanted that I will carry my DSLR.
The camera resolution wont matter when you record 1080p videos or post pictures on Facebook, which is what most people will use it for, so stop complaining lol
