bottle, 14 Aug 2020The storage spec seems to have changed from UFS 3.1 to UFS 3.0, can anyone shed some light on this ?Although there has been no confirmation (none that I can find at least), there is some speculation that the Exynos variant of the Note 20 Ultra will ship with UFS 3.0, and the Snapdragon variant with UFS 3.1. This is due to the official specification page from Samsung, showing that the Exynos 990 only supports UFS 2.1 and UFS 3.0.

Yesterday I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G 128GB (Snapdragon 865+) in Mystic Bronze for my wife to replace her Samsung Galaxy S8+ 64GB. Had to use a representative to complete the order as the website wouldn't allow me to apply a gift card, accept a courtesy discount code I received through email, or give me instant credit for all three trade-ins. It all worked out in the end. Easy purchase as the deductions were too good to pass up.

Device cost: $1299.99
Verizon Gift Card received as gift in 2019: -$300.00
Trade-In 3x Samsung Galaxy S8+ ($69 ea): -$207.00
Verizon Upgrade Discount Code: UPGNOTE -$200.00
Verizon Courtesy Discount Code: XXXXXXX -$150.00
Verizon Up Rewards Device Dollars: -$150.00

Total: $292.99 + tax (Ships on Aug 19 with 2-Day Air)

Verizon lowballed me on the value of the S8+ trade-ins, but the final out of pocket price to own the Note20 Ultra 5G outright is acceptable. Plus, I received $150 in Samsung credit to be redeemed on Samsung's website or the Shop Samsung App.

Next up, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G for myself, which I'll have to purchase directly through Samsung as I highly doubt Verizon will carry it. The $150 Samsung credit is an okay start. I also have one last Samsung Galaxy S8+ to trade in, which Samsung currently values at $250 (much better than VZW's $69). If that value price doesn't change in one months time, I'm already looking at $400 off the ~$2000 MSRP.

Hopefully, Samsung sweetens the deal with an additional discount to further lower the price. If I can get $200 more off, that will match the price of a Microsoft Surface Duo 128GB at $1400.00, and I can live with that.

Probably won't upgrade again until Fall of 2024.

How would you be able enjoy the HD 32-bit/384kHz audio Tuned by AKG when BT 5.0 downsamples the bit rate to barely better than redbook CD specs. and there is no jack to use audiophile quality phones, or use the phone's excellent audio chip as a line preamp?

Sunny, 08 Aug 2020Dear Samsung, The specifications and price doesn't match at all. The price of this phone... moreI agree. Im planning to buy this Ultra, but when I found out the issue with Exynos considering I had Note 5 with Exynos Chipset too and the battery life is so awful.

Id wait for the Iphone 12 pro max (coz i love the big display). Whichever phone has a long battery life, Id got for it.

snapdragon 865 and 865 plus are capable of 120hz at 1440p.
what about exynos ? As far as I know it can only run 90hz at 1440p.guess thats why samsung pulled this option out of the software.
