TheNeighbor, 29 Jan 2016Nearby Devices function is a very simple way of reading contents FROM your phone via Hotshot, ... moreWho needs a smart TV to mirror the phone screen? I can connect my Note 5 wireless to a pocket projector and mirror the contents to a bigger screen without WiFi while on the go!
Note 5 more is useful than the plastic phone Note 3 but you wouldn't accept it cause you are close minded! Nobody uses the crap feature you are talking about but only you so stop it liar professor.
A bit too over priced (There are flagships coming at a much lower price with same price). There are a few bugs too on this, I feel it should have NONE as the high price can be given only if it is highly refined, else what would be the difference between the Yu Yutopia and this (except that it has a few better features like cameras, design etc.)
Nearby Devices function is a very simple way of reading contents FROM your phone via Hotshot, TO a connected tablet or smart TV. Most especially with a tablet while on the go.
It has been with the Note 2, 3 and 4. You don't need to be connected with a WiFi router. It's a surprise that Samsung took it out with the Note.5, hence you can't do it now without a WiFi network.
There is SmartView, but that only works with a TV and local WiFi network. Quick Connect doesn't work with my old Note 8.
More evidence that Samsung is making flagships less useful. Another glaring reason why my Note 3 is more useful than this fragile glass backed device.
AnonD-183089, 28 Jan 2016There's some options and features to be honest removed from note 5 and they were available in ... moreNo need for that feature in Note 5 since it has power optimization which the Note 4 doesn't have.
TheNeighbor, 28 Jan 2016A broken/cracked glass back from a drop would. That's what you think. I already dropped my premium Note 5 to a tiled floor by accident without a cover and nothing happens to the glass body. Only a very tiny dent on the aluminum siding. If it has been a plastic phone, there would be scratches like when I drooped my previous phone Note 3.
Be a user first before you post some lies, liar professor.
AnonD-100398, 28 Jan 2016There are two types of power saving on note5. I had lots of smartphones with the power saving ... moreAgree with you am also need to have complete feedback of what am doing but it leaves my device for 2 days until next charge for my normal my usage :)
AnonD-183089, 28 Jan 2016There's some options and features to be honest removed from note 5 and they were available in ... moreAnd no more Nearby Devices function. That's one of the most often function I use, and it's chucked out.
Samsung is really nerfing its flagships.
AnonD-183089, 28 Jan 2016There's some options and features to be honest removed from note 5 and they were available in ... moreThere are two types of power saving on note5. I had lots of smartphones with the power saving option previously But I personally found myself not using any power saving mode almost at all casue I always like my phone to be snappy and give a complete feedback of things i am doing on it.plus i do not need that often as note5 is already great even without powersaving in battery endurance for my day to day use
But yes I agree that using a Ultra/power saving mode cud b a must for some based on there lifestyle :)
There's some options and features to be honest removed from note 5 and they were available in note 4 like the restricted performace in the power saving mode where you can enable and disable features you want during the power saving mode but in note 4 if you used the power saving mode you r forced to diasble all with no choice...which is important for my usage
Tcool, 28 Jan 2016Fingerprint magnet is not a big deal. It won't hurt and won't cost you anything.A broken/cracked glass back from a drop would.
AnonD-494166, 28 Jan 2016any comparison between Note 5 and S6 edge plus????Hit "COMPARE" and type S6 Edge + on the second box.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2016Uh. Note 5 is amazing. everyone else putting it down havent even got it xD Makes no sense ... moreFingerprint magnet is not a big deal. It won't hurt and won't cost you anything.
64GB is more than enough for my use. Happy with it. No need for expansion memory.
It's battery lasts longer than my previous phone with removable battery. No need for removable battery.
I have my TV remote and I am not loosing. I don't want to brag to my friends to control their TV with the phone. No need for the gimmick Infrared sensor.
This is a premium product. Good job for Samsung.
Tcool, 28 Jan 2016Why not wait for Note 10 and S11 so that they will have lots of improvements and be perfect fo... moreuuummm.... that's the point.... we are not waiting for an improvement, the GN5 actually downgraded storage space and battery compared to the older GN4 and other phones...
Imagine if Porsche brought out a new car.... "sorry, it has a lot space and less features but you should pay more because its the latest model.....and it looks better... and its 0.01 seconds quicker"
