This is wrong. I'm going back to college to expand on my previous degree and it's required I use mobile.
My fiancé's father is a HVAC tech of 38 years and he had to store files on boilers and other air conditioning/heating files on his mobile.
Sisters husband works in construction and he needs to keep constant files in his phone/tablet as parameters constantly update.
Friend of mine is a marketing executive of a prominent phone service, has to use and store files and mobile services, apps, etc in his phone.
My cousin is a network administrator for oil companies, is always on the road always and uses his smartphone for the majority of his workload.
I could go on.
Think before you post, bro. You're trying to fit in and be cool. You have no idea what the pros use their phone for. You're acting like a self-righteous cellphone user.
Tcool, 03 Jan 2016No signs of phone coming out with 256 GB this year. Maybe in your dream... Yeah keep on dreami... moreWhat timing... Google the statement below:
Apple will be offering a version of the phone with 256GB of native storage.
I'm sure Samsung has plans to get that out first.
Tcool, 03 Jan 2016No signs of phone coming out with 256 GB this year. Maybe in your dream... Yeah keep on dreami... moreOne thing - I can "show up" with almost 3 times more storage space and directly access them without having to wait for cloud to stream/sync. No wasting time.
Few cons as i have mentioned already..in addition to that
I use my note 5 for movies mainly
I found no movies in torrents to make use of Quadhd screen..i only found full hd videos in abundance..On playing them they are beautiful but somewhere i get the feeling that i couldnot make the best use of 2550×1440 resolution..
Even there are no much Quadhd wallpapers ..
Previously i used note 2 next z ultra n Sam A7 for a while ..
For watching movies Z ultra is beautiful as it has Triluminous technology for upscaling ..I love the idea of samsung coming with that techn of upscaling in flagship mobiles

While you go about telling us about "work stuffs" (haha - yours with an s), and HD movies rotting in memory space - I'm talking about reading references (digitized books, PDF of thesis/researches, nerdy stuff you won't understand), music, audiobooks - all can easily run into over 100GB. I once waited 10 minutes just for a less than 10mb download from my cloud service. That's how unreliable the service is sometimes.
It's a running joke, right? My Surface 2 is 64GB, but has a microSD card slot to take in my old 64GB card. This is the device I write papers with most of the time, and my Note 3 is the hotspot and connecting it to the Surface 2's USB port gives me access to over 70GB worth of my references. I'm pretty sure a "show up" is the last thing on my mind. A 128GB Note.5 is the only thing that comes close to my needs - too bad it is only sold in South Korea.
TheNeighbor, 03 Jan 2016Oh, show up. It was funnier without the correction."Learn some English dude" was the reply to a guy who is carrying lots of architectural references ek ek.
I don't believe you are that professional. Study your lessons and start with English 101 first. WAHAHA!

They figured out that with "fast" wireless charging will accelerate the deterioration of the sealed battery faster, and strategic in making it obsolete in time for the next year's model. Looks like fragile glass back is it with the same design with the S7.

They see Apple not having to over deliver with their hardware so they want the same thing. That creates profits for them. So they want to tap into that market, even if it means snubbing their own past users.
To be able to give less then, turn around and offer services that are paid; that creates more revenue. Unfortunately it's not working so well with them as it has Apple.
The whole "wanting a smartphone that can be your main device on the road with all the memory you want" is over with these major companies. That's why they brought in "Milk" and other Samsung-only services. They don't want you to store all your music or entertainment on your 256GB SD Card, they want you to use their services to get that (cloud storage, cloud media, cloud downloads, cloud streaming).
If the next Note doesn't have expandable storage it's safe to say it's not going to happen. Might want to root and rom your phone until it becomes obsolete if that's the case.

Over 10 years back, I used to carry an 80 GB portable HDD and I was elated that I could carry a copy of my entire media with me.
Yes, I could see Xiaomi going for 256 GB. But someone telling me that 64 GB is what everyone needs is the silliest thing, while older devices can achieve an extra 256 GB via SD card with a micro SD card adapter imbedded within the phone's cover. Hehe, I'd "show up" with one if the darn 256 GB SD card isn't so expensive.
The thing is, 128 GB microSD is working out right now for carrying all my now over 70 GB of architecture references and is transferable to my Note 8 or Surface 2.
No way 64 GB is enough for me.

I will be surprised if the main players like Apple/Samsung go that high. For them it's about serving the masses and gaining as much profit as possible. The masses don't seem to care how much memory they have versus the brand they are carrying.
Much like the desktop market. Yes, I'm all-in when it comes to high-end parts (overclocking, etc). The majority will just run out and buy a decent AMD desktop and have no clue about ram, hard drives, etc. I know, I used to sell them. The phone market is quite the same.
