I am in Pakistan, should I go for SM N920I or SM920C? Also is SM N920I region lock i.e. will I get updates in Pakiztan? Please advise
I've been trying my Note 5 for 11 days the battery lasts only for 5.20 hours screen on time with 45 % of screen brightness I don't know if that's good or not
AnonD-77443, 28 Nov 2015I left iPhones for Samsung 5 years ago because there were a lot more features and options. Sam... moreThis is some weird experiment Samsung is doing, to see what's and who's sticking. I mean they've even stopped selling this crap in Europe. Dubai also only has 32GB, and that's like the shopping capital of consumerism!
Samsung knows they are slumping in sales of this from the start. It's purposely sabotaging their market. To see how many iPhone users and underpowered users will get this half-baked thing?
Even the color choices has been limited to only two colors in most markets. It doesn't make sense at all. They could sell 64GB versions of their S6 Edge Plus, but not for the Note.5 in my region? Just because the S6 Edge (normal) was more popular, and so they thought the Plus will sells as good? Damn silly, as the Plus doesn't even have the useful infrared remote controller function.
Samsung failed miserably in getting iPhone users to switch - they don't understand that they can't leave their collected paid apps and love of limited functionality of just calls/text/surfing/selfless. They just can't be convinced with "fast wireless charging", nor with just 32GB. They love carrying their powerbanks. They love plugging in to power outlets every 4 hours. They love to hear that the latest processor is ALWAYS 20% much faster than the previous model every 6 months.
But with the Galaxy Note.5, it's:
*We've made the back much more fragile with glass as most will interpret it as "premium".
*We took out that pesky expandable memory because we replaced the internal memory with something that doesn't run compatible with it.
*We give you fast charging/fast wireless charging to run the sealed battery to die faster so you'd buy the latest Galaxy by next year for sure.
*We took out those useful features like infrared for no reason.

Samsung should be ashamed that they only offer 32GB Note 5s in Australia but we can get 128GB iPhones.

my self note 5 wasted,i just bought not even one month,Sim card error and i send to servicing center, they change my motherboard and gave me,still no use, mobile very hot always,at least if external memory card slot can save data.
note 5 internal memory if any problem always need factory reset and with out back up cant do anything, either storage another disk.
my self for me not supportable.

I know people who ONLY use smart phones to call, message and maybe social media. On the other hand, I have 50-60GB of topo maps, loads of songs, movies, TV shows, photos and work files (I'm currently using 150GB of 192GB). Smart phones are meant to be the ultimate, all in one device... limiting the storage to 32GB isn't something you expect from a "premium" phone.
AnonD-471267, 28 Nov 2015I dont know how u use ur storage, but for me 26gb is more than enough. Maybe i never download ... moreExactly - you don't download movies. You carry your laptop with its 1TB everyday. I have a laptop - it has a 256GB SSD, and 1 TB of HDD. I don't carry that daily. I even carry a 10" Surface but I only put in a 64GB card for immediate files, and I don't carry that daily either.
What I carry daily is my Galaxy Note - it has an extra 120GB of user space for work and entertainment composed of music + audio books (14GB), PDF books (37GB+), and video (50GB+). I download full HD movies that take 2 to 4 GB per movie. TV episodes can take 300 to 500 + MB. I can probably say I can download some 2GB daily. This is because I'm making use of my unlimited data service to its maximum.
Is it strange that I use my Galaxy Note 3 this way? - there is already 256GB SD card out, and it will not be strange that 256GB microSD cards will be out by next year. Yes, I can use it like a laptop. 26GB of user space is pathetic after getting use to 147GB of total storage space to play around.

Maybe i never download movie and let it in my storage. My phone just for game, sosial and work and 26 gb is enough :)
AnonD-77443, 28 Nov 2015I agree, the GN5 is (or could be) a great phone... its just a shame that it was ruined for so ... moreI actually dont care about who still arguing wanna big storage. But for me 26 gb for apps and pic and doc for work should be enough unless u wanna make ur phone as laptop. Go buy a laptop though, theres many laptop built in 1tb.
My laptop 1tb, my external hdd 2tb, as need more for my phone? I think i dont need it :)
AnonD-471267, 28 Nov 2015I dont know whether who comments here already own or not their GN5, but for me for galaxy note... moreI agree, the GN5 is (or could be) a great phone... its just a shame that it was ruined for so many people by only offering it with 32GB storage. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!
AnonD-471267, 28 Nov 2015I dont know whether who comments here already own or not their GN5, but for me for galaxy note... moreYeah, for most of us who use microSD cards, they are essential. 32GB means only about 26GB for apps and media. Telling us that that is enough is like telling people that 40GB is enough for their laptops.
AnonD-471267, 28 Nov 2015I dont know whether who comments here already own or not their GN5, but for me for galaxy note... moreApparently, a bunch of reviewers who heard of the spen rumors are stupid enough to want to try inserting it the wrong way. Even demo it in a video. These 'clever' reviewers just want to show how true the rumor is and of course, getting a lot of views on youtube.
I dont know whether who comments here already own or not their GN5, but for me for galaxy note user since note 3, note 5 is superb smartphone, since note 3 ive never use sd card following with note 4 and should be no problem for me for 32 gb instead wanna use external memory, this phone though not a hard disk haha
Ive pre own ni beast since a week and still cannot deny the satisfaction. Huhh 😂😂
Great touch thumb print, very unlike note 4 need to swipe.
Great 4gb ram, ive used to watch movie online and do some text n yet no problem switching the apps.
Great fast charging, take only 1 hour ++ to 100%.
Great s pen, who stupid enough wanna put their pen backward? Haha
Great device for now.
leira, 27 Nov 2015is galaxy not 5's internal memory upgradable?(from 32g to 64)No and if you live in a country that only gets the 32GB GN5 you need to make do with constantly deleting files, cache and apps to make room on your "premium", not so smart phone.
Henrye, 27 Nov 2015I wonder how you react to Galaxy A8. It is premium with no fragile glass back. Have sd slot up... moreI already posted how the current A8 can be made with a memory expansion, but a flagship can't? If you didn't get why I'm not getting one - I want the S Pen and still a removable battery.
Besides, my Note 3 outdoes the A series. Knowing that I'll be holding on to my Note 3 until the Note 6 will be out, I've ordered 2 extended batteries of DOUBLE its original battery to 6400mAh each. I'll just cycle those two, and I don't have to change batteries during the day. I don't care about doubling the thickness because it's better than carrying a way bigger sized powerbank. I'll just have one thing to carry for my internet needs WITHOUT having to plug in and wait "under 90/120 minutes" to charge.
Meantime, I'll still be here posting the warnings for people not to buy this half-baked crap. Samsung needs to know not to make stuff like this confused with the S-series. The Galaxy Note line is suppose to be unique and powerful for the prosumer, not something to show off for the vain hipsters who uses beauty face camera functions, and tell how it's the fastest phone, and yet bring along powerbank/charger/charging pad, and a wireless HDD to keep things going.
