BUT stylus is just a busy way and you will be unhappy soon
I am looking to upgrade my phone from the Galaxy Note 3 to either the Galaxy Note Edge or the Note 5. I like to use the stylus.

Funkymusic4fun, 27 Oct 2015As a user of Note2 over past few years, I thought finally it was time for me to get rid of Sam... moreI'm a user of Galaxy Note 1, 2 and 3 - all with removable battery. I carry only one spare battery. Yes, we have to charge it anyway, and you needing to carry a powerbank that it 5 to 10 times the volume of a SINGLE spare battery to keep that sealed battery power topped up is backward thinking. You have to plug in and WAIT 30 minutes at least. Changing batteries for full power takes about 60 to 80 seconds.
That sealed battery degrades after a few months, and you like that glass back that is so fragile, and collects fingerprints?
Is this suppose to be what people are asking for? To have technology that needs to be plugged in most of the time? To have less features? To be more fragile? To make you have to carry around powerbank/charger/charging pad all the time? To enslave you with more data usage since there's no memory expansion? Pay more for eventual repairs for breakage of the glass back, or replacement of the sealed battery?
As a user of Note2 over past few years, I thought finally it was time for me to get rid of Samsung product line over smartphones - tired of it and dont wanto deal with it anymore. Surprisingly odd enough, however, one time passing by its display counter at a local shop and immediately I was caught up by its sleek design and impressive performance from this Note5 in shiny gold platinum with duo sim cards. Apparently it could be suspected as a copied version of Iphone series in terms of internal storage and non-removable battery. But overall it feels the quality and functions stand out differently to its predecessors and iphones ios system.
Believe it or not, this model could take weeks to arrive at the local store when I placed the order in Taiwan, still a big hit in the Asian marketplace!
More slim and light-weight physical design, stable fast access to memory storage, energy saving efficiency in high resolution screen and improved battery usage for fast charging and consumption, enhanced camera features plus S pen with more powerful capabilites - one thing I like most is capturing more different pictures in a roll under a click. The chipset and CPU may not be the fastest system up today, neverthless, in hope of 4GB RAM loaded can help apps and multi tasks run a bit more smoothier like breeze. No matter what types of battery you have either with removable or non removable set, you gotta charge it anyway in the end. The best way is to call for one powerbank instead of carrying 2 or 3 battery replacements around like what I did before with Note2. Even though severe competition in the industry, Samsung throw some free extras for the single unit purchase (in Taiwan)- a basic case cover, a dual USB 32GB removable external drive (direct plug into your phone) and one more year extension from the original warranty.
In conclusion, it costs a bit more for this flagship unit as always for Samsung but worthy of experiencing this top notch gadget in elegant quality design.
Whether it is suitable to your preference or worthy for upgrade, you can try it out and tell from bottom of your heart. At least it works quite well with me so far.

Had a very bad experience with Note 5. The phone hangs very frequently and messages and whatsapp dp's keep popping on the screen. It cannot be turned off or turned on sometimes. And above all the customer service is very bad and will not help much. If there are issues with the phone they will not give a replacement. Just ask you to keep sending the phone for repair. I've been doing that and going the third time to fix the issues with the brand new launch of Samsung- NOTE 5. Its not worth it. I waited long to own this phone and switched from another much reliable brand and now I realize that it was a big mistake. I've never had such issues with any phone ever, especially in the first month of purchase. Samsung is just promoting their items not maintaining the quality or managing customer service well. Well that's the case in SINGAPORE atleast
Here are the disadvantage of the galaxy Note 5: No SD card slot for memory expantion, No IR Blaster, Not removable batery, No Radio, and most of all it has RAM management issues which can't multi task all apps and needs to reload again every single time even though it has 4GB RAM, hopefully on next Galaxy Note 6 they turn back the SD card slot, 128GB internal memory, it has radio, and most of all the multi task problem solved and has 8GB RAM
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2015Samsung has done it again, offer a poor processor in an overpriced device having a battery far... moreSamsung ends is never near. LG is far worst in S.Korea compare to Samsung. Look at Sony that always laid off their employees. Then, there is also HTC having a lot of problem with their sales and smartphone marketing due to problematic design and criticism. Look at Lenovo and their horribly performing smartphone eventhough they had bought Motorola. The list for potential soon-to-be-dead company is longer than you think.
Ashok Ukalkar, 25 Oct 2015Do not buy Samsung note 5. Take note that more than 4 or Edge Note. The memory card can cause more Dear bro, does your note 5 dual Sim supports both 3g or one 3g and another 2g. Please clarify if possible. Thanks
Too many phonese released every day... Soon we are doomed like this.
where is text recognition in smart select ???!!!!!! or OCR, It was first introduced in Note 4 then to Note 3 with lollipop update Â… now its gone From Note 5 Â… are they striping the Note 5 from its features or improvements are going backwards I donÂ’t understand, another essential feature was the IR in Note 3 & 4 and it was stripped from Note 5 !!!! i was using it with my D-SLR camera as remote control and the funny thing that its available for S6 variants !!! I bought the 64 GB Note 5 and am a bit disappointed for the previous reasons as well as it suffers from Hangs and lags !!! the lock screen freezes for around 10 sec and you feel you want to break the phone in your hand from frustration of what Samsung offered !!!
