Pakalini, 22 Jun 2017gl bro, fight back!Today I received a reply from Samsung delhi office, they said this peel off is because of frequently changing the screen protector.
This is insane, first of all, to be honest I changed my screen protector only twice since purchase...
At the time of selling the phone, the samsung boys themselves insisted to put a screen protector to safeguard the screen..
And now they are blaming the screen protector, just because there is no evidence/sign of any physical damage, are they kidding with me ?
Can anyone tell me, can a screen protector be blamed for Peel-off of samsung golden lamination on the upper portion of the screen, the area where front camera and ambient sensors are placed..?
Serious Issue :
I have a Galaxy Note 5 duos 64gb (N9208), all of a sudden at the top left corner the golden part of the screen started peeling off.
It never dropped, never had any kind of accident or pressure.
When I visited the service centre they refused to repair it under warranty.
When I asked them to find a single sign/evidence if any scratch/dent or physical damage , they could not find a single one.
Now they are saying that this Peel-off happened due to frequently changing the screen protector.
This is insane and completely illogical.
I am moving to consumer court in India, it has become a trend in India to loot the people in the name of physical damage, Liquid damage, Pressure damage.
If anyone else suffered any such problem like, screen peeling, paint peeling, please let me know..
hmu, 15 Jun 2017note 5 or s6 edge ? help pls !@hmu
Are you getting it just for the big screen?
If so then grab yourself a S6 Edge Plus.
If you're going to utilize the pen and features of the note 5, then go ahead and grab the Note 5 instead.
Jon, 16 Jun 2017Does this one come with exploding battery, I miss that feature :(Bla bla bla!
How do you solve guys proximity sensor problem when on call. Thanks
Samsung galaxy note 5 does not display the sim tool kit menu enabling mobile money transfer(mpesa). Any one experiencing a similar problem and how did you resolve it?
AnonD-632400, 11 Jun 2017VoLTE setting (when you pull down the quick settings bar) is enabled by default which I believ... moreNo it has nothing to do with volte, because I use airtel 4g, which doesn't use Volte.. morever I use the International variant, not the Indian one... so it doesn't have Volte..
Whatever I would like to say that, my problem is fixed as soon as I updated my firmware to Android 7.0 Nougat.. I mean it is as good as my iphone now.. 1% drain in every 3 hours or so... and the 1% goes to, Device idle.. previously in Android 6.0 the 5-6% drain in every hour was sucked by android OS, because the CPU would keep awake.. it was a bug.. sammy killed it on Nougat.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY TO ALL NOTE 5 USERS.. JUST UPDATE TO NOGAT TODAY.. EVERYTHING IS BETTER.. FASTER, EFFICIENT, AND BETTER MULTITASKING.
AnonD-373654, 10 Jun 2017because it isn't used to this much.. it was like 1% drain in about 4-5 hours standby... i hard... moreVoLTE setting (when you pull down the quick settings bar) is enabled by default which I believe one of the reasons why the battery was draining. now that I disabled it, it will make a huge impact on the battery life.
turn off VoLTE setting it will give you battery life like before the update
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2017I'm getting a note 5 in about 2 weeks. I can't wait! Should I update it to nougat or keep it o... moreupdate to nougat today only, with all security patches.. marshmallow is currently having huge battery drain bug.. but samsung stopped supporting android 6.0 on note 5.. so you must update to nougat.. they release bug fixes, every now and then
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2017Why wouldnt it drain? because it isn't used to this much.. it was like 1% drain in about 4-5 hours standby... i hardly noticed any in real world... now it is like 5% every hour.. it is abnormal, cause.. if i leave it overnight on standby, the battery comes down 40%.. thats totally abnormal
