This is a good phone. But it isn't for me because I carry around 100GB worth of movies and music. Will just go for the Note 4 or wait on Z5 Premium. Samsung really fucked this one up for a lot of us without the memory expansion. They claimed UFS didsn't work with memory cards yet Meizu implemented it on their new device using samsung's exynos chip. Oh and that's another device i wouldn't mind laying my hands on.
TheNeighbor, 30 Sep 2015And the Nexus 6P by Huawei has a 128GB variant at probably $700.
Samsung CAN'T have a 128GB... morehear hear :-)
Paying an extra few hundred to get a 128GB GN5 doesn't worry me.... having to constantly delete files and carry a USB stick because i only have 20GB spare on a 32GB GN5 simply isn't acceptable Samsung.

Samsung CAN'T have a 128GB version of this? Only 32GB for most countries like Australia?

Just waiting for MS's announcement for the Surface Pro 4, and hoping a Surface smartphone will at last be ready soon. Galaxy Note would be in the dust if Samsung keeps denying memory expansion, with sill fragile glass back.
I want the note 5 sooo bad, but i am from Bulgaria (Europe)... And i am not sure if i order it from ebay or amazon for warrancy.... Any rummors whren the note 5 hits europe ? :(

However - I would love for Microsoft to build a Surface Pro phone, paired with a good Intel x86 CPU that's more PC style on the go (ie: laptop like) that has all the goods I really need to have a desktop-like experience on the go.
I don't care what android phone or what it has spec-wise, I'm tired of searching for programs to make the most of what I use most at home; on the go without needing a full laptop.
If Microsoft can pull away a bad ass Windows 10 phone that's very PC, with all the bells and whistles, then I could give a damn about Samsung or whoever has what in a phone.
Here's to hoping this Surface phone with an S-Pen equivalent is not just a rumor or just another Lumina.
Anonymouses, 29 Sep 2015What is up with all this Australian complaining. How undeveloped are Australia really? Aren't ... more1) Australia is different to most other countries in the world because of the low population.
2) Optus coverage is pretty average once you get outside the cities and large towns and the bandwidth isn't good either.
3) Optus does not offer unlimited data (you can get 5GB for $45). Telstra data is typically $10 per GB... this makes downloading movies from the cloud not an option.
The point is, only releasing the 32GB GN5 is Australia is stupidity, I am a Samsung fan but I'm willing to call out bad product decisions when i see them.

How undeveloped are Australia really? Aren't you guys more advanced than most Asian country and just as good as US. Optus does offer unlimited mobile data and the New South Wales area, especially the coast line have very good 4G network. I know because my aunt live there.

This probably the worst phone ever released by Samsung. 32GB at this age with no expansion is a joke. We here in Australia don't have the luxury of unlimited data.
Waiting for the new Nexus or LG G4 pro.

tumama, 28 Sep 2015apple is apple If you don't like the note 5 simple don't come to this post and talk bad about ... moreI'm a big Galaxy Note fan. I own 4 of them (1,2,3 and 8). Without the replaceable battery, the 8 has been pretty difficult to use as I have to keep plugging it after 2-3 hours of working with it, giving me about 3-4 hours of total screen time. I keep this at home now. It's the same SOT as the reported by Note.5 users, and I have an idea how much I'll be plugging it like what iPhone users have been enduring all these years - I've seen it with my workplace which has 60% Apple users. They lug around powerbanks all the time.
They have to turn off notifications, Bluetooth, WiFi when not needed - I don't as I'm NOT an underpowered user, and my Galaxy Notes 1, 2 and 3 have given me worries-less 12 hours usage, with ZERO plug in time because I can swap batteries. I've used my Galaxy Notes to present slides and drawing demonstrations casted on projectors and TV screens using a Google, and drains my battery after 4 hours.
Couple that with the flawed S Pen silo, no memory expansion, and fragile glass back - so you underpowered users say that this is the the best thing ever? This is the direction Samsung is listening to? A flawed, less features, more breakable device? I say F*** that. Samsung, bring back what made the Galaxy Note the best in the market - reliable, versatile and capable. Not an underpowered iPhone users come-on.
