But from 1+ year nothing like this happened to my device. Better to sell this out and take a new one

note 5 mobile screen is so weak, after a period of use you find a reflection of the colors on the screen and burned the screen of the mobile twice the first time because it fell and I repaired inside the power of Samsung and two months later screen was burned again without reason. screen is soo bad

I really wanted a Note7, I had a note 3 and was saving money for the Note 7 until it decided to become a suicide bomber, so I got a Note 5, and is the best decision I've made, Battery life went down with the Nougat Update but still, it last up to 64 hours with no issue, AMAZING screen and great performance, if any of you would like to get this phone, do it.

AnonD-673824, 05 Jun 2017I agree note 5 is the best smart phone and after the update i lost battery life i got nearly 3... moreI don't think you'll need to change battery that soon, as battery can normally last upto 4 to 5 years or even more. Also it depends how you use/charge the phone.
Like ckdinesh said, make sure if VoLTE setting is disabled.
Also, updating apps from play store can make the difference because some apps may not supported with naugat.
I'm normally getting 5 and half hour SOT. My usage is surfing web, news reading, 30min of small games and whatsapp etc.
But if you use gear vr, facebook, downloading and heavy games. Then the battery can even drain in just 1 or 2 hours. So, yeah it all depends on our usage.
Also check settings one by one and disable or turn off things you don't need.

turn off VoLTE setting it will give you battery life like before the update

I updated to nougat and I thought the font problems will be fixed...
It is a disappointment when it still wants me to uninstall the fonts I downloaded...

Updated My Note 5 International version (New Zealand) 2 days ago and was so excited for the Nougat update after a long wait. But after using it for a couple of days I'm experiencing significant battery life drop with the new update. I wish if there is a way to downgrade to the previous version.
Donno if others are experiencing the same issue after the update. I had no trouble with the battery life before the update and now its bit of disappointing.
Just wanted to give a heads up for the guys who are eager for the update.

And I can say honestly that iPhone 6s even ipone 7 or may be iphone 8 are no way near to this Note 5.
See the difference in just two things, the Display ppi of Super Amoled as well as the 16MP camera of flagship..
Once you use higher ppi, you can't go back to the lower one. However i liked the whiteness of iphone screen as amoled can be yellowish. But you will not notice this on higher brightness. And low ppi was irritating the eyes.
People say iphone can beat all phones in processing speed. But I hadn't see any lagging in Note 5. Yes, some stuttering may be here and there, but when i was using iphone 6s it also had stuttering, did you notice this?
I remeber there was also an issue with iphone 6s's battety. It's percentage wasn't accurate, was stucking at say at 60% for 1 hout and was coming down on 10% in just couple of minutes.
If apple use higher ppi display and good camera that would be great.
I like the UI of iOS though.. android is still catching up.
But ATM even S3 can beat any iPhone. Sorry ;~》
