sanjay, 19 Aug 2015Note4 is far better than note5 i think just one difference is RAM 3GB against 4GBNote 4 is carp comprate it even to S6 leave a lone note 5. Used to own both variant of note Exyonse and SD 805 not as fast and smooth as S6 due to the SD card the effect the performance.

This phone is number 1 in daily interest but it is a fake number 1 because 80% of negative comments about the phone makes it number 1. While such a high end phone doesn't have waterproof and no SD slot memory, the very low and 4 times cheaper Motorola Moto G3 does have the waterproof, SD slot but ranking number 2 with 80% of positive comments.
It's clear that Samsung is playing around with people money. Never I'll buy such a high end phone.

note4 seems better but not by far, the note5 has some nice tricks that i've seen and really i like. But what lets the note5 down is the fact that is has no micro sd card slot, i find that ridicules and upsetting. and you can't change the battery

Meladyx, 19 Aug 2015It has infinite contrast because black pixels don't actually light up. You're mistaken.True, however, there are special occasions that black pixels can light up. Meizu MX5 uses Super Amoled with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.

Seems Time to get away from Note Series.. I was expecting Note 5 to be released water resistant which they didn't plus they removed

FATAL MISTAKE
No SD card killed it.....
Been loyal to Note since First one till Note 3, skipped 4 to get 5..... but it seems I will be looking for other alternatives as I do not see any significant difference between 3 and 4 and I AM NOT READY to let go of memory expansion.

I found out that Super Amoled doesn't have infinite contrast. The Super Amoled has 10,000:1 contrast.

Available in Thailand now for 25900 Bahts (730 $) in 32 Gb. Not impressed, looks like a big S6 Edge with a stylus...Slim bezels are nice though. But the phone is too big and heavy for me. And no SDcard is a big NO...

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2015No way! 3000mah battery fo note 5 is poorI know right. They already start making Galaxy S6 Plus with 5.5" screen. Good thing is it comes with 1080p display and battery is kept at 3000mah. Bad thing, the usual glassy construction and no sd slot.

Just stop making rationalization for Samsung making the "highest-end" have the poor excuse of having the battery sealed. While older, and "lower" models get user replaceable battery system, you would think the most logical direction should have been the opposite.
Here's the ironic thing that Samsung is actively doing - they're giving away that fast wireless charger free for the purchase of a Note.5. That's the running promo they're doing.
Follow this logic:
Wireless charging produces extra heat.
Excess heat shortens the battery's ability to hold power.
The shorter the power, the more you try to charge.
The more you try to charge, the more heat is exposed again to the battery.
This continuous cycle will render the battery to degrade a lot faster.
They want you to keep thinking a sealed is great since there fast, and fast wireless charging. They want you paying more for the service of changing the battery. They want you to get another of their sealed battery phone in 6 months. They want you to spend more.
I'm not making this up. Read it up at battery university dot com. I'm only passing logical thinking.
