TheNeighbor, 17 Aug 2015Well, well, well... PA just posted battery test of the NotePOINTfive.
NotePOINTfive - 551 m... moreInteresting. Imagine what the battery endurance would have been if they would have stuck with 3400-3500 mAh. It probably would have been the best smartphone for battery out there. I guess the replaceable thing is a bit of an issue, but as long as you handle your phone with care, it should be fine for 2-3 years.
I might reconsider buying this phone now these battery reports are coming out....
informed, 17 Aug 2015There is 24.5gb free on a 32gbThanks. That is much better than I thought.
Well, well, well... PA just posted battery test of the NotePOINTfive.
NotePOINTfive - 551 minutes of battery endurance
Note 4 -523 minutes of battery endurance
That's only 28 minutes of extra usage, or just above 5% increase from the Note 4. Still, it's only a sealed on. It's won't be that effective by 6 to 8 months later. Not a problem if it was user-replaceable. :-P
AnonD-137171, 17 Aug 2015Yes you can find most of those features in note 3 I think note 3 is best phone made by samsungYes it is (note 3 user) by the way.shame that samsung will only be remembered by the note 1 2 3 and 4,they have took the wrong root now and deserve to lose there market share.what the hell are there designers smoking.they should change dealer in my opinion !
i like this model but compare to the note 3 the main difference is camera and battery backup, i need the more features................
AnonD-295037, 17 Aug 2015All the trolls and cribbers need to be informed that note 5 and s6 edge plus are reporting exc... morePlease let us know where you read that, because if that is the case, i might still consider it...
Anonymous, 17 Aug 2015Hey, I remember you. You the guy that like to draw so much. Just read your past post. You went... moreYes, I use the Note mainly as a tool for much of my daily needs, including drawing with it. NotePOINTfive has drawbacks.
Anyway, the unit is just a demo unit, and even can't be installed with any SIM card, as I asked for a try. So, I can't confirm the Dual SIM version in accomodating a micro SD card. Yes, it does say 15.26GB used for the "system memory", clearly shown here:
I should think this is because of the extra files for the demo app? I can't confirm how the regular commercial actual device would be like. Anyone here have it already can confirm the system memory size?
My Note 3's system's memory usage is just 5.64GB to compare.
Again, I can say it has the best S Pen experience I've ever tried. If only this can with a changeable battery system, and no fragile glass back.
All the trolls and cribbers need to be informed that note 5 and s6 edge plus are reporting exceptional battery life.
Good design but the specs is pretty poor !! no slot sd, no usb type c, no IR
TheNeighbor, 17 Aug 2015Why? Am I not allowed to comment negatively, if that is indeed my sentiment? I held the Not... moreHey, I remember you. You the guy that like to draw so much. Just read your past post. You went to the store. Is it really just around 16gb user available in the 32gb version? Im disappointed.
Stop arguing over who knows better than who.just give ur opinion if u have used note 5 ..dont force someone to belive what u say.if ferrari is the best car why all rich men does have one.choice is urs.so leave note 5 fans alone.let them experience the device in nearer store let them decide.if battery and memory card slot is evrything why apple is selling more and more device? Its all bout personal choice
TheNeighbor, 15 Aug 2015Looks like most of the features that i actually use aren't at all with the NotePOINTfive. USB ... moreYes you can find most of those features in note 3
I think note 3 is best phone made by samsung
Anonymous, 17 Aug 2015Those critique doesn't sound very motivating as it should be. Sound more like a complete hatred. Why? Am I not allowed to comment negatively, if that is indeed my sentiment?
I held the NotePOINTfive this afternoon, and the number one positive thing I could say is the S Pen is really good! Very improved from my Note 3's S Pen with responsiveness and acuracy. I did the eye-drawing test I usually do and the thing just was a wonderful experience.
Sure, it's a dual SIM 32GB at $855, with PROBABLY can accomodate a micro SD card (since the sales people can't assure me, and their training didn't cover that). I'm sure the both cameras are fantastic. The screen is surely brilliant as ever.
Everything is there, only that:
Glass back will be a nightmare that will slide out from side pants pockets without some texture and protection- glass very useless design direction of trying to be a PAST iPhone.
Fast charging and wireless charging will really ruin the battery faster - marketing people like you are OBLIGATED to actualy follow what the clients want to sell more that doesn't kill anyone, but critical thinking gets the better of some of us about how batteries work.
So, I hope Samsung can get feedback like this to do a better job for the next Note.
