Mad Driver, 14 Aug 2015the most redicilous ideas are yours... sd card not reliable...ir never i have used its useless... moreOf course if you never used SD cards and IR than it is not necessary for everyone at all, because your desicions are the rules for the people.

        What a brillant mentality.

kraaaj, 15 Aug 2015what you want to store in SD card ...the whole world ??????!!!!!!!!Because we use it than be limited like you. Work or play, the Galaxy Note was suppose to push boundaries, versatility and usefulness - now Samsung wants it like an iPhone.

I'm definitely not a Samsung fan. Several family members are though. I.M.O. it appears that Samsung's independence from Qualcomm had a "price." Since their introduction of their Exynos chip, it seems that alot of "other" costs were cut. Battery manufacturing and microSD support are probably BIG savings for Samsung right now. I've never owned a Samsung smartphone but all you Samsung people shouldn't worry too much about battery and microSD in their future smartphones. ....just thinking out loud here. Good Luck Samsung owners and future owners.

I think a card slot for SD Card should be added. More colours same as Samsung S6 should be added.

SKYGUIDE, 14 Aug 2015By the way, its worst investment to buy expensive amoled screen phone...you cant sell it, even... moreBut there is a silverlinnning. When ur ready to sell it two years, the Amoled panels price has reduced almost to half.

Reason for not buying Note 5

                        -No UV sensor
-32/64 gb is not enough(even navigation app takes 8GB)
                        -No IR blaster
-No IP67 certificate(even it is sealed)
-less battery capacity(that also LI-PO,it damages after 8 to 9 months)
                        -Stupid Keyboard
                        -No DLNA(even note 3 had)
                        -No memcard support
                        -No removable batt
                        -No Radio
                        -No upgrade in camera
                        -No upgrade from note 4
                        -Slippery back
paying even $600 for this phone is waste of money...better go for note 4 or moto x pure edition.

Anandtech has carried out an extensive test to measure Super Amoled power efficiency of Samsung's flagship smartphone. According to the test, Samsung has been able to consistenly improve Super Amoled display panels every year, or even every six months. The Galaxy S4 was the worst at 3.41 mW/cd/cm2 while the Galaxy S6 is the best at 2.21 mW/cd/cm2 when it come to display power efficiency. Lower is better. Refer here:

but undeniably the screen was so good at its time.. and keeps getting better.. its just gets that residue after a year or 2 of use.

Really waiting for GN6 in 2016? Should had switch to Note 5 while you can for free as you said. Beside, you only going to spend a year with it anyway then switch again.

Also, if you can claim the new one on tax and sell the old one (in good condition) on ebay you all but get the new phone for free.

I usually upgrade my Notes every year for these reasons, this year i will stick with my Note 4 for an extra 12 months and hope nothing goes wrong. If the GN6 isn't better i will go to another brand.
