Pav, 05 May 2017Change your charger. It shouldn't take that much timeWhat about battery backup, it's not more than 4.15HRS compared to marshmallow 5.30HRS, screen on time.
Hard deserted, cache clear, reinstalled fresh OS from service centre, Nothing helped.
So, in short the Nougat for Note 5 is seriously not good for Battery life.
Samsung should fix this issue.

I just got it a few weeks ago and mine had 7.0 nougat on it. I really like the phone. Its fast and very responsive. The battery has to be watched and you have to be willing to tweak your phone ( developer's option, lower that screen brightness, get rid of haptic feedback, shorten your screen timeout to 15 sec. etc etc...) Also a black wallpaper or very dark one is better.
The phone graphics are very nice. I had the note 4 before this one and the note 4, for its time, was an amazing phone. I really do not like that we cant remove the battery and no micro sd card expansion was a seriously shit move on Samsung.
Over all the games play well, the video is nice and the overall look of nougat is sleeker and more modern looking. I also like the new features in the menus. I really wish the notification panel was dark or black. too much white hurts the eyes.
If you can afford the new s8 then get that but if you're on a budget, I like this phone a lot. Get yourself a clear case and nice screen protector and you'll be fine.

Jop, 03 May 2017Same issues with my note 5..it takes 3 to 4 hours to fully charge my phone.this is happened when you using a default charger .. you have to using your original charger and try it .. and if you still using it and still cable charging , go to battery and you will find " fast cable charging" option disable .. turn it to enable

I had an Galaxy note 5 last year and after 2 months of usage in went very lag as hell, it takes 10 seconds to launch an app!!! Imagine that? Even the keyboard doesn't respond at all. It also overheats whenever I play video games or use the camera. Now, samsung has convinced me not to buy their products again! EVER!!! i think i'll switch to iphone now. (from a former samsungfanboy)

Everybody who updates their phone please " Clear cache partition and restore factory settings".
It is always recomended and it will solve all your problems.

After the nougat update my note 5 charges so slow and the battery life is worse than before. There is always a notification saying "network unavailable, try again later" for every 15 minutes. It is very annoying and cannot load the videos anymore especially on instagram. What can I do or I just have to wait for another update? I have problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note5 and i can hardly access any Service with
my phone.
It displays an error message which reads; E: failed to mount / preload (No such file or directory)
Kindly assist .
