Anonymous, 11 Aug 2015Then just by the 128G insteadFor 100 more get 128 GB but then you must use USB to transfer data instead of swapping cards. Data storage shouldn't be a roach motel.

They do have a way to put a micro sd card and the battery can be changed but it is not necessary to change it because of the Ram it has

Whats the deal with the battery size? Different reports keep flip flopping between 3000mah and 4100mah.

My wife and I have been waiting on this note 5 for the past six months and now I hear that the phone will not have an expandable sd card slot nor can you remove the battery. Are they crazy. O well I hope they have some new Note 4's left because I was switching form HTC but why by the note 5 when my wife and I have 128 SD cards full of info that we use each day in our jobs. What a waste Samsung. Come on are you kidding me. I think they made a deal with Apple and Apple paid them off because they are not this dumb.

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2015Then just by the 128G insteadYou go pay Sammy for 128gb and smaller screen, 1gb more ram and permanent battery all for the sake of becoming an Apple/Crapple Clone, NO THANK YOU. MARK THESE WORDS SAMSUNG'S Lee Kun-Hee will drive their losses higher and kill shareholder confidence. Although you can bet Dollar's to Kimchee they will offer a $200.00 rebate which will further dig their losses deeper for the sake of supper quick sales volume to try and head off the coming Crapple 6s. Yes, I hate Apple but lets face it they are turning Sammy into a soon to be forgotten stepchild of a cell manufacturer who will join the ranks with Nokia and Palm. When a manufacturer is reduced to making the flagship no better than last year (actually note 4 is a much better deal) the razor thin margins and a multitude of similar products that flood a market cut deep to a company's true capability of creating innovative new exciting products that captures new dollars from new customers and keeps the competition at bay. I may be a Apple hater but big No. 1 is painstakingly sharpening the axe they will eventually drop on Sammys neck.

Believe it or not, the Galaxy S6 did better in sales than the s5, maybe it was time for a change in samsungs behalf. Apple does perfectly fine selling the 16gb non removable battery/sd card. At least samsung has a 32gb starter knowing that people want more storage.

Good luck I don't want you to have the same destiny has Nokia but I think you are all stepping in the same road

I guess my Note 4 will be the last Samsung i own until they get their s**t together. A good alternative and prolly what i will be looking now will be the LG G4 Pro. Specs look very promising. Specs as well as the Note 5 BUT they were smart enough to keep the sd card and removable battery. smh @ Samsung

Maybe if the 128 is only 60 dollars extra.... But almost guaranteed not. An authorized retailer just had a pre order for a 128 microsd for that amount.

Well samsung lost another customer (not that they care). I just bought a new Blackberry Passport Silver Edition, which has SD slot. I dont play games or watch movies on my phone so the PP is the best work phone money can buy, imo.

PhoneUser82, 11 Aug 2015I have read a lot of comments here with people with note 2's waiting to upgrade. I have a note... moreYeah the Note 2 is still an incredible phone and for many there's no reason to upgrade since they can just stick a bigger memory card and fresh battery in to keep it going as long as you want, but do you think anyone will be saying that about the Note 5 or S6 in 3 years?
By then people will just be throwing them in the trash when they run out of memory and have to pay a fortune to get the battery changed.

To me Samsung built such a strong and dedicated fanbase because their old phones can still hack it against the New phones coming out now but their reputation will quickly sink now making these phones.

As a Galaxy line user, removing the SD card and removable battery is nothing to big. At first I was dissapointed to hear about these removals, but I remembered I never had the need to remove the battery because it was too much to carry. As for the SD card having different locations where your photos/media/files/videos get saved too is annoying to me. I'd prefer everything to be in one spot and then upload them to my 1 terabyte harddrive. Then clear everything out. Having that option to remove a battery and have an SD card where nice, but in the end they are pretty much not needed, in my opinion.

When I move large files to/from my card (which I do with regularity) I find it much more convenient to remove the card, place in an adapter, and insert into my laptop. No removable card is deal breaker for me.
