I have been using the phone for 5 years now, since 2016 .. it is still a great phone to use and still responsive .. I had to change the battery once .. It is starting to get slow a little bit in some cases but I think i can still use it to 2022 or even 2023 without major issues

Samsung note 5 is a beast machine that preforms to satisfaction. l like the battery, the smoothness of responding in opening files and touch respond. It met my expectations of a hybrid phone.

Mehran, 27 Feb 2021I am wondering why Samsung don't give OS upgrades for this. at least update it to Android 8 .That's because Note 5 already received 2 OS upgrades from Lollipop to Marshmellow to Nougat. Only flagship devices released from 2019 onwards will receive 3 OS upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users in South Korea and Latin America received a surprise update in December 2020. No new features are added
, no improvements to the device at all and no updates to security patch level either. The OTA update was releases urgently fix a critical bugs to prevent hackers from exploiting the device.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2020Which samsung s series(with s pen) in its contemporary time can be an alternative to note 5? there aint exist s series with s pen. s pen wont work on them. and s6 happens to have same specs as note 5. and as there is no note 6, note 7/s7 has same specs ,and the same numbers has same specs

I got my mom's note 5 from year 2016 and Im still using it till now. 😊 Good for my games and apps. 😊

Get hot easily. Samsung phone 2020 is beast. Although, Still having crap exynos chip but this will change in future.

Problems:
1.Turned off several times
2.Note 5 has gone completely unresponsive, and it won't turn on

The galaxy note 5 has a Li- ion battery, and not a Li-polymer one.
We wish that it was a Li-Po one!
