AnonD-623141, 21 Dec 2016Mobiles like A8 differs alot from note 5 ? And will note 5 be upgraded continously ??It depends on which version of A8 are you talking about. The Galaxy A8 2015 has the same screen size but FHD, same battery size, no S-Pen, good camera, 2 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB, has different processors and etc. The Galaxy A8 2016 has the same processor as the Note5, same screen size with FHD resolution, 3 GB of RAM, a slightly bigger battery than Note5 and etc. For the Galaxy Note5, you will still be able to get software updates until the end of next year. I will go for the Galaxy Note 5.
Note_User_India, 22 Dec 2016Frndz..I am basically a Note user.. NoteII, Note 3 and now Note5. Bought Note5 a couple of day... moreme too a former note3, note4 and now a note 5 user. for me the battery is above average just like most flagship devices lasts one complete day. i would not compare its battery with my secondary phone the redmi note3(which has an awesome battery life) but after using some flagships devices i know most flagships have above average battery life whearas midrangers nowadays have very good battery. coming to storage it totally depends upon the person using it. there are people who store movies, tons of pictures, music on local storage and then there are people who just stream everything. i am on the second group and stream on netflix, gaana, apple music, pictures on cloud, documents on google drive since ages and my internet is good. but bigger storage is always better to have and i am stuck with 32gb only because 64gb was out of stock since one month.

In fact, I find Note5 is a very good and awesome device provided you want to sacrifice two basic needs
1. Internal memory(32/64 gb) is not sufficient. No external memory slot
2. Battery life is not at all good. but quick charge will you.
It's Camera is very good at par with other top end camera phones available at present. S-Pen is just marvellous. Very user friendly device.
hi, 17 Dec 2016I am using note 5 for around 1yr. i didn't face any such kind of problems maybe you got a defe... moreWell said bro. Note 5 is the best phone in the market till now. S-PEN features are outstanding
Mixed review. This is a great phone for business in terms of storage, ease of use and the S Pen. The camera is amazing. However, the battery is pathetic. I've tried getting rid of apps, using an all-black theme and wallpaper, 20% bright, etc. and the battery simply doesn't measure up to my last phone (iPhone 4). I carry a quick-charge portable charger which helps but this shouldn't be necessary. If you actually use your business apps and email, expect a very short life before a charge is needed. Under 2 hours in some cases. Maybe I got one of the lemons. I probably won't choose Samsung for my next phone. IF this phone did have a way of extending the battery life, it would be the best phone available.

We bought the Note 5 earlier this month and its a great product, upgraded it to o/s 6.0.1
No issues and no regrets.
I also have the S6 and the Note 5 is my preferred :-)
Now we are getting in 2017 , I want to buy a smart phone and I can only buy note 5 not higher phones than note like s7 .. what's your opnion go for note 5 or buy a new mid ranged device like A8 , A9 things like that ?
as note 5 is getting older as you know 2015 production !
Please help me decide
Please lnform shall I buy Samsung galaxy note 5. I am from India. Need a phone which is reasonably fast with good battery and last for more than a year. Don't need it for gaming but for business purposes. Screen should be good for reading.
Note5 is very good device. I think Samsung should produce 128gb DS version of Note5 of different colors immediately to regain its lost ground due to Note7 debacle.
Galaxy Note 5 - as experience always interbet priblems, a lot a call list that phone not recognize, Note 3 was better for me.
Rahul , 15 Dec 2016Dont buy Galaxy note 5. it has a common issue with its display. I bought one fone on last sep... moreso your device has an issue doesn't mean every note 5 is having that issue and no one should buy it. your issue is nothing like a widespread note 7 issue. any gadget you have is defective so no one should buy it is an idiotic statement to make. you simply can't jump to conclusions like that.

Please don't try to generalise it. Note 5 is far far better than S7. Those who are interested to buy note 5 please don't hesitate. go for it.
