EMEA version can't be used in US and vice versa. It has to be used at least 5 mins in the region for which it was bought. Beware of eBay stores and ordering one from region for which you don't have SIM card (e.g because you want SnapDragon instead of Exynos) - some workaround might be buying appropriate SIM card along the phone and use it for 5 mins or so.....
Right now LG V30 is available with Snapdragon everywhere, while we still have to wait for Samsung to selling Note 8 with Snapdragon ... Every ebay site (from US, to Taiwan) sells only Exynos - and I totally don't want Exynos... It's pointless why are they doing EMEA vs China/US/Canada....
IR blaster; not fair.... how much that lil thing can cost; 2 usd ? But make sure we have lasers next to camera for whatever insane purpose...

Feels cheap and plasticky (fingerprint magnet). Wielded today at SAMSUNG's booth in a electronics store. I did not like how cheaper looks compared to older Notes. Also... I DO NOT like the screen width narrower than my Note 4.
I had a hands on today with the Note8 in midnight black. It's huge, it really is. This color option is a fingerprint magnet but that's always the case with a glass back. Screen looks good but the screen ratio is something to really get used to in my case. I compared it with my Note FE and it's simply a tad bigger.

I think a good case like the Otterbox Defender will ensure very good protection. And like you pointed out, the curved screen is what makes it difficult for good cases to come with inbuilt screen protector.
I saw the Note 8, in rea life. I like the new S-pen, as the point is rubberised and much narrower. However, the big let down was the Samsung notetaking app. They have had years and they still come up with rubbish. You will need to download an alternative note taking app. You could not mix text with handwritten graphic.
I also hate the curved edges. It makes the phone more delicate. You can put a 'tempered' screen protector one it.
This was a 6.3", screen, I assumed it would be too big, but it seemed narrower. The phone was tied to the display, so I could not hold it in my hand.
The display was beautiful and physically the phone is beautiful.
I even managed to get this phone frozen, when it was in the note-taking app. The back button would not respond. (They don't have physical back buttons and menu button)
At €1000, it is too expensive. I want a phone, I can abuse a bit. Round edges are a no-no. I don't want a phone, which is delicate as a piece of china. I don't want to keep thinking about my phone.

For some reason, Gsmarena still includes the 256Gb option on the Spec for the Galaxy Note 8. Might be an up coming variant but I doubt the reality.

Killer, 03 Sep 2017I'm using samsung note 3.. please advise which I can go.. s8+ or note8 or xzp?Note 8 is best option in the market now. but if you plan to use dual sim try to buy 128 because 64 is not enough for long period. unfortunately in dual sim phone there is no dedicated memory card slot. you have to use sim 2 slot
The S8 Plus is probably a better option for people who want a big screen and can live without a Pen.I personally enjoyed using The Note 2 a few years ago.I used the pen more for surfing to be honest as it made things easier due to my big fingers. So I am tempted to return to The Note, it's just a shame about the high price tag, but that lovely big 6.3 "screen is tempting.
Hermes Hidayat, 03 Sep 2017IP67 vs IP68 is a big difference. But you can't remove the fact it had "REMOVABLE BATTS" & "water resistance" to boot. IP67/68 is non debatable and common people will never dunk their expensive phones under water unless by accident.
