Killer, 03 Sep 2017I'm using samsung note 3.. please advise which I can go.. s8+ or note8 or xzp?note 8 im switching to note 8 from iphone 7 plus was thinking on getting s8 plus but note 8 looks better with taht screen.
Not my cup of tea too big to comfy fit my pocket. Galaxy Mega 6.3 was huge, this is huge as well with a 6.3 inch screen diagonal.
Basheen to'0g , 02 Sep 2017The side bezels so big Compared to note7 There are smaller side bezels on note 7True, I also said it before.

People cribbing about the fingerprint sensor & rear setup- couple of years ago we didn't have biometric security until Crapple came up with this for its iSheep and now suddenly it's a dealbreaker?? Are you gonna die if you use other modes of phone locking? If someone steals your phone, fingerprint security won't get it back to you...they will hack through it anyway. And let us assume that those buying this monstrous phone have monstrous hands so they will get used to the FP sensor anyway if security is such a concern.
Rant #2- "The black rectangle with the glass looks ugly".... Well I personally think Samsung did a great job keeping it neat and gathering everything in an area that perfectly complements the angular shape of the phone. I feel it looks way better than the S series whose rear design has stayed same for almost 4 generations now and that the back really distinguishes itself from all other phones. It looks high-tech, sophisticated and tells that that this phone means business. That huge rear back would have looked weird if there was a small camera lens...in fact I'll consider this phone over the S8+ because of the unique back!
Rant over. Sort of. Now coming to the overall phone-
1. the size...I mean WTF Samsung- do you expect us to grow chimpanzee hands to handle phones now?! Why on earth does a phone that expected to be in your pocket have to be XXXL
2. I thought this may look like a carbon copy of the S8+ but the angular shape does make it look different when seen in person. However it also takes away the glamour from the S phones....the S8 looks stunning with that Edge display and the Note8 has a very subtle edge that looks nowhere as sexy. This phone is business-like which suits its positioning.
3. I'm in Dubai and there's no 128GB version...yes it's a pricey phone but if I've decided to buy it I may as well spend more and go for a bigger ROM
4. Colours- they got this wrong...jet black is fine and the maple gold has its takers but the gray is terrible. I checked it 2 days ago and its one of the ugliest colours on a device- looks like chalk dust without any shine or effect in light. The Orchid gray on S8 looks much better..the Deepsea blue seems interesting and sporty, but of course they didn't launch it in Dubai! If I buy it I'll have no option than to go for the dipped-in-tar Jet Black and maybe put a skin on the back later.
So now I wait for the V30 which I think will be a great competitor and the Mi Mix2. The Note8 has its uniqueness in terms of practical n powerful stuff though- the stylus (that I feel is nifty for me and I've been wanting to try a Note device for the 1st time), 6GB Ram, and the multi-window that matter to me
Anonymous, 03 Sep 2017the Galaxy S5 was Water Resistant and have Removable BatteryIP67 vs IP68 is a big difference.
This looks a decent smartphone but the 3300mAh battery is a huge disappointment, should be at least 5000mAh.
Well, my wife's sold to getting the Note8 as well, and ditching her S7 Edge for the S Pen functionality. Yup, folks who need the S Pen for jotting and organizing projects is a big help. OneNote seems to transcend to other devices or OS.
Other apps like Evernote is something that could work across devices. Drawing diagrams, or thinking by writing words by hand with the pen is all within one device that has a fine-tipped Wacom digitizer pen. The 4096 pressure-sensitivity is the exact same as last year's short-lived Note7's S Pen - awesome for really fine line diagrams or writing.
Not so impressed with the animated GIF recording, but i am glad the Screen Off pen function providing 100 pages is a welcome improvement.
I mirror screen the Galaxy Note onto a large TV a few times to demonstrate how to sketch, and explaining things in drawing. This is something Apple products can't do universally - you need an AirPort.
S Pen is a reason why some people get the Note as a tool.
Jason Melling, 03 Sep 2017The phone is also very glossy well the version I played with, you would definitely need a case... moreI'm particularly happy about the brick like shape. Reminds me of my favourite communicator - Nokia 9210.
Only, this has a better screen and finctions. It's an awesome design.
Thanks for sharing.
Wondering how this is possible, considering the phone is not a dummy
This is the best phone I have ever seen...
I can't even wait for its releaser date.
Good job Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 its really a 10+

Sorry, an iPhone is not an option for people like me, even at $100
Hermes Hidayat, 02 Sep 2017One day Samsung will tell those people to make the phone and Samsung will buy from them.LOL.the Galaxy S5 was Water Resistant and have Removable Battery
Battery is crap, 6.3" whether amoled/lcd gonna drain it fast especially having high-res one.
AnonD-197784, 02 Sep 2017Jason Melling you are the first person on this forum to actually have a feel of this phone! ... moreThe phone is also very glossy well the version I played with, you would definitely need a case as it would be slippery. It retails for $1599.00 NZ from Spark (local carrier).
