195 grams ! These companies have lost there minds . Extremely uncomfortable to hold such a heavy brick for a long conversation. Or is it the end of conecting people with good old fashioned verbal conversations ? What's the point of having all the technology when a phone is not designed to be a phone . Smart maybe but dumb at 195 grams
GrayMantle, 23 Aug 2017Trickle technology yet again. No advancement in display since the Note 3.Well, my Note3 doesn't support 10 bit HDR, has less than half as many pixels, has quite a bit lower peak brightness and much worse color calibration, so I dunno...
kenneth, 21 Aug 2017what is special hereUGLY UGLY!!!!! Only f/1.7? lol LG V30 with f/1.6. Samsung copy dual camera, but design is ugly. And Price 1000eur? Lol. I Wait on V30 price start 700$ and V30plus 875$
Nonta72, 23 Aug 2017Here we go again! Flagships with old versions of Android ... Android 8.0 is available. Yet S... moreAndroid 8 was released two days before the Note 8. It's not like they started manufacturing Note 8 yesterday. It's not like Android comes fully equipped from Google. Integrating drivers, which you may have to develop first, for the chips inside a particular phone is quite a job. Optimizing power usage for the particular hardware design isn't easy or quick. And it's not like they're using bare bones Android either. Adding the various Samsung and Note-specific features, and making sure everything works, is quite a lengthy process.
note 99, 04 Jan 2017I going to buy this phone only if it will have 16GB ram .. exynos 10000.. mali 12000.. 500GB..... moreThat number doesn't mean it can't use bigger SD card. Have been using 128GB on a note that's 4 times bigger without problems, 64GB and 128GB on a Z1, 8GB and 16GB on a HTC Ty Tn and that 8 - 16 times bigger than supported.
This phone is too long, fat, thick and especially too heavy!!!. Its like a giant freaking remote.
What the hell, 23 Aug 2017you have a point , the big problem here is with the battery the non removable 3300mah battery ... moreMy Note 3 is soon four years and is still on its orginal battery, which I've charged every day. It's getting old now, but you'd have to be pretty intense (or careless) to wear down a quality battery in just two years. My spouse, indeed a light user, is on the fifth year on her Note 2.
With the massive display, battery could have been higher, will this last for a whole working day..might need to carry power banks maybe....also 256GB variant only in korean market...totally disappointing...price is too high though
Imperator Neubaticus, 23 Aug 2017Definitely getting my hands on this. If it survives, meaning it doesn't blow up, i'll be set f... moreHonestly, I don't think they will make the same mistake twice ...
They are not that stupid hahahh
Here we go again!
Flagships with old versions of Android ...
Android 8.0 is available. Yet Samsung wants to ship their flagship with Android 7.1.1.
And why is the price so high?
Maybe it's time to get an iPhone for good ...
Definitely getting my hands on this. If it survives, meaning it doesn't blow up, i'll be set for another 3 years.
anausama, 23 Aug 2017Who the hell used FM radio now a days?? i do agree with IR Sensor also removable battery makes... moreI don't know where you live or what you'd do with your phone for but for me FM Radio is the only RF technology which doesn't fail when every other has faded.... because where I live MW commercial radio transmissions have been suppressed. It really makes the difference from being completely ISOLATED or still having a (one way) link with the world.
what the hell, 23 Aug 2017an IR blaster is what made the note 3 and note 4 superior on other brands . you can control T... moreI've had the note 3 with the ir remote and personally I've never found it useful since it is often more difficult to open the app to use the sensor than just to pick up the remote and having the app always open in the menu bar was way to annoying
Common sense, 23 Aug 2017"again no fm radio ,no ir remote ,non removable battery, no stereo speakers" Ok, name a phone... moreWho the hell used FM radio now a days?? i do agree with IR Sensor also removable battery makes no sense many Brands killed removable battery option don't you understand it's not possible to give option of removable battery cuz of design?
