Crazy-cupcakes-2017, 02 Jul 2018Apple fanboy vs Samsung fanboy hahaWell, I do have respect for Samsung. But I currently do not have any respect for obnoxious Samsung fanboys, or obnoxious fanboys in general. Even Apple fanboys can get on my nerves.

Because you knew you were wrong, and all you are is an ignorant Samsung fanboy. Nice try but I have seen So much better. ;)

George , 01 Jul 2018Yes, the phone it's unlocked.Oh, then I have absolutely no idea why it wouldnt work. Especially since I have been seeing many youtubers reviewing Android Oreo on their Galaxy Note8s.
George , 30 Jun 2018I didn't get the 80mb update neither June security patch. But except always on display update... moreDo you have an unlocked Note8? I have had the June security patch since weeks already, you should also have it I think.
83662196, 01 Jul 2018Um, excuse me? Did you SERIOUSLY just say the iPhone SE is no longer supported by Apple?! Whoa... moreAnd 4k in mono audio only. 4k on a small screen. Useless.
There's actually a setting to normalize AMOLED.

I heard about that happening to a lot of Note8 users. Unless you bought the phone unlocked, than I have absolutely no idea why it wouldnt give you the latest update.
Tang0N0vember, 01 Jul 2018So, an SE - the iPhone Apple no longer supports, with a small antenna, with a small screen, sm... moreUm, excuse me? Did you SERIOUSLY just say the iPhone SE is no longer supported by Apple?! Whoa whoa whoa. Lmao. That is literally the most idiotic thing I have ever seen ANYONE comment. And I have dealt with some really ... questionable ... people.
1. Apple still SELLS the iPhone SE BRAND NEW off of their own website.
2. The iPhone SE is getting iOS 12, meaning it STILL is supported. In fact, all devices supported go ALL THE WAY BACK to the iPhone 5s, which was released in 2013. And its going to recieve iOS 12 as well.
And also, I never ever get dropped calls. Ever. Sure, I have heard about people having that issue, but its never happened to me.
Also: Smaller display + A9 chip = Beast in performance. The iPhone SE is faster than the iPhone 6s and in some cases its faster than the 6s Plus because of itÂ’s low resolution display. Which aka, its still very sharp. Its an Apple Retina display, meaning it still holds up, regardless of the viewing angles or color saturation, its still a great display.
Battery life for me, has also been absolutely fine. I put my phone on low power mode, which is what Apple suggests. I turn off Location to also save battery life, plus I dont even need that. I also turn off the fitness thing that the M9 co-processor uses since I dont use my phone for those types of purposes, meaning my battery is just fine. Even at 91% battery capacity (which thats its current capacity) it still has good battery life.
Also, I dont need that ridiculously oversaturated AMOLED display from Samsung, I dont buy a phone because of its display, and I dont see why anyone would do that in the first place JUST because of the display.
Bigger size yes, but the Note8 doesnt have the best battery life, due to Samsung being cautious and using a 3300 mAh instead of 3500 mAh. Its still good battery life, but its nothing to get all excited about.
And my iPhone SE fits in all of my pockets as well, and Im glad your Note8 does as well. Which thats not something I can say about a lot of phablets lol.
Lastly, I only charge my phone overnight. And it works just fine. Even with iOS 11, now that Apple fixed all the stupid bugs that were going on, my phone is fast, fluid, and the battery life is definitely better than it was when iOS 11 was first released.
I understand that you and many other people dont like smaller displays. Which thats up to personal preference. For me, I like a small, compact phone like the SE that can do 4K video (not that I use it that often) and even though I wish the front camera was at least A LITTLE BIT better, it still gets the job done for me.

battery life could be better, but there are workarounds so it's all good in the end. looking forward to the note9 and what improvements it will offer.
Saurabh198, 30 Jun 2018That's kinda unusual if your device didn't receive the June upadate yet. Yap that's true. I'm wondering if ( after the factory reset I did) changed something , a setting perhaps, don't know.
83662196, 01 Jul 2018Well IÂ’m glad you enjoy your Note8. Personally, as much as I have respect for the Note lineup... moreSo, an SE - the iPhone Apple no longer supports, with a small antenna, with a small screen, small battery life, etc...
I know people who are still using that. They keep wondering about being cut off with their calls - small antenna. Weak antenna, means the need for more power consumption. Small form factor means smaller battery. Smaller battery means they need to keep plugging at least twice in the day.
Meanwhile, a Galaxy Note was the second smartphone after Dell Streak to have a 5"+ screen. Bigger screen, the better to see. The bigger the size, the more area for the antenna. Bigger antenna, more efficient signal. Efficient signal means better battery performance. A Galaxy Note is what it is because of the S Pen, which means it logically needs a bigger screen. Bigger size, bigger space for battery. Bigger battery means less charging. Less charging means more use efficiency of the product. It all fits in my Columbia standard top pocket - even with an Otterbox case.
I absolutely love the big screen for media and creating sketches. Great for jotting down notes as well. Brings a lot of value than being a smartphone without an S Pen.
But you don't like bigger phones - you have small hands. Got it.
Tang0N0vember, 29 Jun 2018Yeah, spending $900 and not take care of it. That would mean dropped with no case numerous times. Some people are stupid enough to do that. Believe it or not.

Hi there, the June security update came but today my device got another one weighing a bit over 800 MB. I don't know what changed coz the security patch still says june 2018. This is the SM-N950F.
As a legit Note8 user of 8 months, the Note8 has performed very admirably. I don't complain about the fingerprint placement - my index finger hits it dead on. Battery is as expected with just a sealed 3300 mAh, because most of think it's the "future".
No other smartphone series has a digitizer pen with pressure and tilt input. That alone is miles from any other flagship devices. This is a main reason to get a Galaxy Note.
