I bought it for my convenience so why would I make it complicated by using charger with messy wire?
By the time the battery wear out, it is also time to upgrade to new model. No need to replace the battery, just junk it and be updated with the latest.

E.g. sooner or later you'll have to open up the phone to change the battery, changing microUSB on top of that isn't overly complicated.

Samsung marketing says it has bezeless display *BUT It has a little forehead and chin at top and bottom like' other 2017 smartphone,of course, it is only less bezel than others
SURPRISINGLY it is "smaller"than 16:9 note 5 or note7.....Note 8 width is same compared to 16:9 in 5.5" screen......It is only a "gimmicky taller phone"
Price is extremely over nigh with lacking innovations
iPhone X also has high price tag but Apple provide to live up to the promising innovations such as A11 bionic... battery is smaller but battery life is longe...AR capabilities in softwear and hardwear...a stunning services and so on
Perhaps Samsung try to customers that higher price is better
Wake up Sammy

Here's a very useful modification for Chrome Browser users - move your browser bar at the bottom by following the instructions:
I love this as it's very hard to reach the mobile Chrome's search and navigation bar using your thumb, and positioned at the bottom makes a big difference.

That's 30 minutes of difference. I don't see much "convenience" except you got an angled stand for exposing your expensive "$906" Note8 for snatchers at the office. I don't even see the "convenience" for home use as I know it put adds stress with more heat to the battery. I never even fast charge.
The switch in referring to is a would be extension convenience outlet with a switch. I did say "plug in/turn on".
I like to buy a phone for my dad.Looking for larger display with bezel-less.There is lot of choices(confused)..Can anyone pls suggest me?
Important specs:aleast 2gb ram,fingerprint front mounted,more than 5" display.
(storage, camera, battery capacity is not a big deal). Pls suggest guys!tq in advance
The funniest thing with note 8? Actually screen diagonal is 5.6 in 16:9! The truth is it feels like it has a smaller screen than note 7 or 5. It's only taller. And that's a nightmare for me.
I bet, by Nov Dec, Prices will break 550$ Resistance! Maybe Dark Blue color and VR coupled available!

Basically, the screen is about an inch taller than my old Note 3, with almost the same width. Note8's enhanced HDR mode is pretty incredible for TV shows from Netflix that I have been watching.
The dual apps launching from the Apps Edge is pretty useful, like combining Youtube on top, while browsing with the very tall screen. I'm enjoying the extra area.
I'm managing to get about 4.5 hours of usage time with with a mix of Netflix, Youtube, and browsing on just FHD resolution, brightness slider to just 30%. It came to 40% left after 5 hours of usage time (it's the weekend and a good time to test it). Yup, taking out the 2nd SIM card, sticking to just wifi and lowering the brightness helped tremendously. With the 40% left, 6 hours SOT is achievable with a lowered setting.
It still means I have to plug it in so it could last till the night before I can get back home. No deep discharging to keep the battery healthy.
