The iris scanner works great except I have to open my eyes unnaturally wide for it to work. I have got quite squinty eyes though.

I dried it off with a towel and carried on using it. After a few.hours it was still showing the 'water ingress warning. Whilst I was researching what to do, the warning dissapeared and I could charge it.
It took 24 hrs before the fast charge worked though..

Fingerprint sensor is more secure and will stay with phones forever.

So who has the problem?
Whether IP53 or IP68 it doesn't matter.

Your instinct will prompt you... moreI'm accidently dropped my phone in water and I immediately pick it up and after 5 minutes it dead. I'm not let it drowning. I know a phone is not to use for drowning in water. See, you won't stop talking about your 'non-removable battery' problems.

The fingerprint scanner is already on its way out and is kind of irrelevant on a device that offers a much faster and more secure method to unlock the phone.
[deleted post]3300 may battery is enough as it quicker charging and took much longer to near empty 4000mah take longer to recharge so it doesn't matter which size of battery..
I am using this phone for two weeks now. Just applied a screen protector on the back. Still can't get used to the akward position of the fingerprint scanner though.
Also, for those wondering and/or confused, the iris scanner works in pitch black darkness. It uses infrared. It also works even when you have eyeglasses on.
Anonymous, 26 Oct 2017Note 8 Amoled screen is prone to screen burn in. If you're planning to keep the phone for yea... moreEvery oled screen potentially burns in but samsung's super amoled no longer has that issue. Although admittedly, with all the number of screens samsung produces, there's bound to be a few instances. But too few to be insignificant. Inferior manufacturers like lg, however, well, the pixel 2 xl should serve as a decent example.

Your instinct will prompt you to pick it up immediately when accidentally drops in water.
Of course it will not take even 5 minutes to rescue your drowning phone. LOL!
[deleted post]Sorry but that problem was attributed years back. Android ecosystem has positively evolved so does Samsung too. Wrong choice going for an iPhone and again, it ain't ma business. Your wallet your purchase.
Purchased on 26th Sep. Facing following issues
Slow charging but Draining vastly
Hanging problem
Service centre worst. Not able to resolved.
Escalated the matter to higher one but still under observation.

I owned S5 for two years and submerge it in water ma... moreI had a S5 as well. Probably the best all round phone I ever owned. It had been in the canal, bath, shower, paddliing pool multiple times.
In fact the phone had got that wet, the water ingress sticker turned to pulp and fell off. Still worked fine. Got a battery ruined by water once, just replaced it - all good.
Wished the Note 4 was waterproof but you can't have everything
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2017No it doesn't.It does. In a dark room, not pitch black but illuminated by a TV for example, works fine.
I can confirm because I own one and have tried it.
Haven't bothered using the face unlock yet though

IP67 in S5 is much fragile, maybe you're the lucky one and I'm the unlucky one, but do you know how much fragile IP67 is? Do you know what happen to iPhone 7 if it gets drowning for an hour? Compared to S7? That's why Samsung switch to IP68 for more better resistance.
Anonymous, 26 Oct 2017Note 8 Amoled screen is prone to screen burn in. If you're planning to keep the phone for yea... morePictures? None. I've been using the Note8 for about 3 weeks now, no burn-ins. The Super AMOLED on this is so bright I have to keep it at 30% level that's enough for decent reading.
Middle East or Far east anywhere Blue color available, No I suppose! Black ad nd Grey plentiful. Actually what is traded price, under 800$ is all over. Shocking within weeks prices slashed to historic lows. One way it's good for us, but all non warranty ones. It's psychological only, piece of slip warranty is third party, never replaced unless numbers given by Samsung available. Then water damage is routine excuse. Be aware!
