battery life: mate 10 pro > note8 > s8 plus (but only by a wee bit, you won't even notice)
in terms gaming, you'll probably get about the same out of each of them. but in terms of overall productivity and utility, as well as seamless and intuitive multitasking, neither the s8 plus nor the mate 10 pro can come even close to what you can achieve with the note8.
This phone is great battery, camera, charging fast, but I'm disappointing Samsung why still no update for note 8 even version P is out now......
Recommended device, very feature packed. This phone offers the most features available at the moment. Now it gets cheaper, I would recommend to buy if you're looking for a phone with the s-pen, very nifty yet useful feature.
The main reason for getting a Galaxy Note is the S Pen. Everything else are bonuses.
AnonD-603898, 12 Mar 2018Thanks bro ,but I'm not talking about focus speed ,I'm more concerned about the image quality ... moreOh yes, the Note8 provides very clear pictures, even more light with the wide f/1.7 camera, and the zoom f/2.4 camera is useful for day time situations. Excellent quality.
I don't get why you'd want "colourful pictures". There are plenty of video comparing quality. I'm very happy with the very fast focus of the Note8 for still shooting. Always in focus, and I'm happy with the color. DXO rated the Note8 as one of the top mobile cameras when it came out.
I use the 3-second motion picture that is included in every shot - good for contextualizing what happened 3 seconds before the shot was made.
If you want the best camera right now, get any of the two S9s. I personally don't get any of the S series since I have the need for the S Pen.
Taking notes with the S Pen during meetings, and digital speed painting are tasks you can't do with other smartphones.
4 months+ of Note8 use, with IconX 2018 wireless earphones and Gear Sport. Just a very good experience with the accessories - Gear Sport provides convenience for quick notifications and responding, with my Spotify play list, and the IconX gives total isolated audio with no wires during my running workout.
Note8 battery efficiency has gone down to 95% after the 4 months. Only gives me roughly 5 hours total Screen On Time if I were to rely on one charge. No hiccups like any lag, and the S Pen function remains to be excellent, and no competition to other smartphone - Tilt and pressure sensitivity inputs.

I can borrow my colleague's iPhone X for a few seconds, post a photo from it, and can claim to have an iPhone X... But that's all you can do - pretend. You can never show us the correct menu UI of the Note8 with the correct screen aspect ratio.
All your screenshots are in 16:9 - obviously, ALL are not from a Note8.
