[deleted post]If Apple did not state it in their keynote, all iPhones record video with MONO audio. Useless even with boasting 4k recording 60 fps.
We are here because the Note series offer more than what a mere iPhone can offer, and yes, the Note8 with a recent update can record 4k at 60fps. We have been using OLED screens for the longest time, Wacom pen technology, expandable memory, can open our phones with one look.
Basically, you'd be spending over $1000 for the ability for Animojis. Right, you also need AR... which are already present in some Android brands.
[deleted post]Sorry boy, this is Samsung page.
I think you are at a lost.
Try Apple page and you can find iPhone X there, that is the right place to flood your spam, not here.
[deleted post]stop spamming man, nobody cares about iPhone X.
new iPhones offer nothing new to gadget industry, all their "new" features have been used by many brand/devices over the years.
people would rather spend their money for something else.
TheNE1GHB0R, 15 Sep 2017Zerolemon is coming out with a power case pack with 5500 mAh that could top up the Note8's bat... more8500 mAh only?
I have 20000mAh power bank that can charge your iPad, Note 7, Note 3, E-reader and other gadgets that you always bring.
No need to confine myself to a battery that can charge only one phone with only 8500 mAh capacity.
The best mobile phone in the market actually.

Yes, 4K is huge file size. But the quality (detail) is impressive. It is a bit like taking photos on 2MP camera and then a few years later regretting you did not have photos taking at say 12MP.
Yes, I have a 4K TV and I watch 4K clips on YouTube. It is impressive. It is the future.
Don't waste your money on a VR headset or a smart watch, instead 4K is the future.
Broadcasters are slow.....
Just got my note today. I like everything about the phone (really great) except the placement of the finger print scanner which is a known issue and hopefully, Samsung will correct this next year. At least, it still has a fingerprint scanner unlike the trend in the new iPhone 10/X. However, there is still the iris scanner or if you have a gear smartwatch or gear fit watch connected, you can use smart unlock. That means as long as your watch is within the range of the phone, you can unlock the screen simply with a swipe.
Hi, Guys
I am in Canada looking for note 8 dual sim, can someone please advice me if both sims can be active at the same time in this phone? and where to buy is?
Thanks
Zerolemon is coming out with a power case pack with 5500 mAh that could top up the Note8's battery by 100% charge. Best alternative than carrying chargers/powerbanks/charging pads. No pricing yet. The design has almost no more extended bottom chin, UNLIKE what they did with the S8 duo models - made them more longer. Thank you, Zerolemon. Definitely getting this as soon as it's commercially available.
Then after two months or so, they usually would put out a 8500 mAh capacity power case that could charge some 150+%. Getting that as well. If you top up your battery to about 60-90% whenever you can, it can prolong the sealed battery with a more number of charge cycles in the long term. This is one way you can without really plugging in.
Check it out, fellow Note8 owners:

Does anyone know if it has any app as an EMUI5 twin app?

It is done in oven not by heat gun. So whole phone is heated up not only back cover. After that you use jig to remove battery cover..
I don't need Iris scanner and edge display on Note. You can put that on S series, but on Note series it has to be flat display, ir, thermometar, radio... You need to put everything from begining, just better and more, not less. I need to wait for Note 9.
TCool, 15 Sep 2017OMG still need to pay $90, if it is here it would $0 to add. LOL!Not to worry, it's also free on another upper plan.
A bit dissapointed, I have had Note2 and Note5, and plan to get a new Note.
6+ inch is very good for 50's like me, but I don't like that elongated style, like
chocolate bar or kit-kat, really? will look funny when you're in conversations.
Although I admit you can play/use it as ping-pong bat, or maybe flies/mossy slapper.
It reminded me of my once Nokia Communicator 9600 (also other old satellite phones).
I'd prefer the traditional NOTE style (about 4x3 ratio, I think).
So I'll pass.

Cost of the Note8 unit can be staggered over some 24 months contract. Since I need data anyway, it just makes sense to go with the Note8 as being the only Android device with a Wacom pen.
Paying US$989.90 outright for a Note8 is just ridiculous. I've been holding out for a contract device for the last two years (not counting the Note7 I had to return).
I'm paying $475 cash out for the Note8 on a carrier service contract I'd be paying for anyway. Higher plans will cost the Note8 only $90 with unlimited data.

I hope soon after the launch here tomorrow the 15th.
TCool, 14 Sep 2017Note 8 is worth pre ordering @$906. Compared to $1,367 of iPhone X that has nothing new to offer.Exactly, almost every new feature in iPhone X, is relatively an old one for Samsung's flagships. In my country, Note 8 is 23000 less than the X, which makes Note8 sweeter deal. It has better screen, same camera quality, and identical performance and not to forget the S-Pen. All these for lot less than the X. X may be a better deal for iFans, because for the very first time they are getting to experience an OLED screen, very less bezels and so on in an iPhone.
