If 5 hours SOT is "good", then that's actually good enough, yet you'd have deep drained to below 20%. Again, it's that bigger screen, plus AOD turned on, even shorter battery with two SIM cards.
Yes, I've been spoiled with 10,000 mAh extended batteries over the last 2 years, with usually 7 hours+ of SOT for the day, around 45% left on a 18-hour stretch. All that without having to plug in to charge up during the day.
Now it's power case all the way so I can enjoy the many features without worrying about power for all day use.
Its slippery so you definately a back case atleast AND IF you can find a good tempered glass for it.
Just got it yesterday fantastic phone. The battery is great so stop this about battery being bad or low. Like most phones definately will last a whole day.

2. Display - the best with the brightest phone display, HDR capability.
3. Speed - with 6 GB RAM and very snappy.
4. Memory - capable of expanding to the biggest microSD.
5. Social features - Wacom digitizer pen system WTH many useful functions for drawing and writing, Iris scanner unlock.
6. Build - good to hold, water-resistant but fragile as we have seen in all drop test.
7. Battery - sealed with average with just up to 5 hours max SOT on a 15-hour use span. Just look at my run for about 15 hours ending at 23%with just 2.5 hours SOT with AOD (because it has this feature and why not use it?) and at just FHD or medium settings:
The last two are the weakest points of the Note8. A battery case with OtterBox design would solve those with the compromise of being thicker and heavier - that's how is like to ride it. The case I mentioned has the thinnest profile, just under 2x thicker, however with rounded edges that will not have sharp corners digging into your hand.
In a month or two, Zerolemon will come out with some 8500 mAh battery that can charge another 2.5 times with no worries about turning on AOD. For now we get x1 full charge with a 5500mAh.
TCool, 04 Oct 2017And cover the beautiful back finish of the phone with ugly cover...Do tell us about your use of the Note8 with NO case.
It's interesting that people go around using these glass-backed smartphones with NO case protection thinking how indestructible they think they are.
Whereas you were just bragging how you got a blue case in your recent post.
No one needs to carry a separate powerbank with wires with a battery case like this convenient. It's like getting yourself a Mophie power case - a small powerbank that's attached to your smartphone that has NO wires. NO big @$$ powerbank that you need a bag for.
Battery case makers like Zerolemon outsource their battery components from other companies, just like Apple sources out components done by Samsung. But hey, if you want piece of mind, get the Zerolemon brand, even if you are paying twice for the same thing.
The.Neighbor, 04 Oct 2017Elegant thinnest 5500 mAh power case to help with more usage without plugging in for only $20:... moreGood point. Samsung makes its own protective case for the Note 8, very lovely case. They should integrate a battery into it even if it adds a little thickness.
The problem with most of these battery cases is that they only protect the glass back and offer no protuding edges in front to protect the phone's screen. That's what knocks them.
I think the solution would be for folks at zerolemon making their battery cases more protective OR those at Samsung or Otterbox (for instance) integrating a battery in their rugged cases.
Elegant thinnest 5500 mAh power case to help with more usage without plugging in for only $20:
Battery of the Note8 with even light to medium use will only be up to 15 to 16 hours, with up to 3.5 to 4+ hours Screen On Time. It's bad. WITH such a great screen, great camera and a lot of functions, we should be able to enjoy using it as often.
This is battery case that seems to give at least another 100% charge, and can provide you power well enough till evening without much bulk. Check it out. Hope it helps out the heavy users.
Don't use battery case because it will make your phone thick and heavy. You will not be able to insert it in your pocket like before. You will end up holding it in your hand all the time or bringing a gadget bag all the time. There are no phone flip cover that will fit on it.

There are reasons why Samsung brought back microSD card support. There are reasons why even 512 GB microSD cards are emerging.
Soon there'll be 1 and 2 TB microSD cards out. And here you are with "64 GB is enough".
