Same thing with phone battery, depleting the charge will cause problem to the battery sooner.
In low light and artificial light the video captured by note 8 isn't good as it produce some kind of noise while as video captured by Galaxy S7 Edge is quite excellent.Samsung should fix the problem of this beautiful device.
Guys am using my note 8 since 13 january nd till now battery, camera, speed everything is like its out of box i recommend you to buy exynose version because its battery timing is graceful more than s7 edge nd nearly equal to s8 plus so dont listen lie posts

AnonD-742268, 04 Mar 2018I have been using Note 8 for a few months now, I can tell you that the battery is just fine. I... moreAnd it fell out of my hands because my headphones got stuck in the chair, front down and yes it survived with no damages!~ but I strongly recommend you get a case, I bought UAG Monarch Case and I love it, yes the case is a bit bulky but keeps my phone safe, and for front screen, I would go with Whitestone Dome glass protector, it is expensive but worth it, if you can afford it go for it.
I have been using Note 8 for a few months now, I can tell you that the battery is just fine. I only have to recharge twice in each day, which of course depends on my usage. Watching YouTube videos in 720px does not effect much on battery life. Most games consume battery very fast while some are okay and in my experience, installing apps that you don't need can be very bad for the battery life because they constantly update which means they get downloaded and install which consumes battery a lot and a waste of memory.
I am very happy with the Note 8 and if there is someone out there having trouble and complaining about some issues, all I can tell you is it all depends on each individual how they are using the Note 8 or in fact any smart phone. if you keep your phone clean of junk apps and unused apps then you'll be just fine. Don't let app run in the background unless they're in use frequently. I use Norton antivirus which I recommend to all new and old users, best feature I found is that it also let you know which apps in Google Play Store are bad even before you install them.
I have been using the Qualcomm version of this phone since October 1st .
Everything was ok , but over the last one week
Switching between Windows became a bit laggy, and some light websites that didn't stutter before now have light stutter during scrolling .
Please note, that I reset the phone 1 month ago , because Samsung's keyboard autocorection stopped working.
When, when, when Samsung or Android get the issue of "slowing down performance after some use " fixed ones and for good ???? I really don't want to switch to iPhone 8 plus because of their stupid file managing system , but I will have no choice!
Galaxy s7 was the worst hell on earth and most people's phone, including mine became very very laggy and freezing after 3 months of use.
I don't know who told you that depleting the battery is bad, but not only was he wrong, but also an ignorant that lacks logic.

No matter the device and the brand you are using it's not recommended to drain the battery to 0%. Actually is the worst thing you can do for the battery. Even when you calibrate the battery don't go under 10-15%.
Now regarding our lovely note8 there were few complaints about it but last 3 months never heard nothing else. And even for these few cases the devices weren't get dead as mistakenly supposed from the users. After some tips and tricks finally they made it.

AnonD-672235, 01 Mar 2018andriod 8.0 is not on note 8 what the hell s8 and s8+ plus has 8.0 ?Since you're complaining about not having it: Can you tell me what features and benefits you gain from 8.0? I find that almost everyone who whines about not getting frequent updates, also has no idea what benefits any of these updates brings and are just butthurt that they don't have the highest number.
