I plan to change my current phone note 3, between Mate 10 pro vs note 8...which phone is better..i'm use it more for productivity and photograph .. and i'm not a gamer.
I made a switch recently from the iPhone 8 Plus to Galaxy Note 8 and its worth every penny. Also the screen size is amazing and is manageable. I was never this satisfied with the iPhone as I always got the latest iPhone whenever it came out. Would highly recommend Note 8!

Expect your battery to last some 300 to 500 discharges and charges to its absolutely disruptive for normal long use. And you're fast charging.
Don't be surprised if your battery will have huge discrepancies around 8 to 12 months later.

My note 8 has a problem with the proximity sensor. So, if i place my hand (or anything) above the sensor (+- 2cm) the screen will turn to be in flipcover mode (the blue-green background with the clockand date things) and it bothers me so much because i need to avoid my hand or anything not to cover the sensor. Anybody can help me with this problem?
Does anybody knows if Android Pay works fine with the N9500 256Gb China version? I am asking because I am aware that VoLTE, VoIP and Samsung Pay are not working
AnonD-41487, 04 Jan 2018Well thank you for your advice but zhts the 1st time to hear that charging at short terms like... moreVery simple. The more you charge in short intervals, like after spending 10-20% discharges, the more likely the life battery cycles will be in the upper 2000 cycles instead of 300-500 if you were just charging when you do with deep discharges like you only charge after you reach 15% or even less. On battery cycle is the equivalent of a 100% discharge and recharge cycle.
Shorter charges means less heat. Avoid fast charging. Doing something like charging from 80% or 90% to 100% and cutting off power will do wonders for your battery. Read about Depth of Discharge:
I'm using a Zerolemon battery case to do this. Only pressing on to recharge even needed.

Basically it's good for it's specs and such, you can do whatever to the S-pen ... specially creating GIF images they really include many nubs for the stylus to begin with so the pen will stay longer, battery wise ... it's typical for Samsung to go to a 3300mAh battery ever since the Note 7 incident, this is a countermeasure so that the phone doesn't explode while charging I've got this phone for about 1 month now and I never really felt the panic of finding a charger whenever it's on low battery charging w/ or w/o the included fast charger is about the same, no issues whatsoever though ... the only downside to this is price really, i could get the S8+ but thing that got me hooked to begin with is the S-Pen features and stuff so I'm happy overall ...

to go under 20 and usually keep the charge between 40 - 80 %. Its better to make short charges as our friend just told you.
