After 20 charging sessions, and using the AccuBattery Pro app, my battery health condition is 96%. Meaning my actual battery capacity is now actually 3160+ mAh instead of 3300 mAh. Some 4% Degradation has taken place in the last 4 months.
This is with my not even using fast or any wireless charging. I also do trickle 10-20% charging, with unplugging once charge reaches full. My amperage is 500mA to 1000mA, 4.3V.
Fast charging entails higher voltage and therefore more heat and stress for your battery. Heat is the number one enemy for your battery.

George, 27 Jan 2018Its very weird, you lost 17.13% battery efficiency in 4 months! The app is accurate? There is ... moreAh, I did not take into account the Always On Display - it has a rating of 1% every hour. Therefore, in a 14 to 15-hour, 10%+ would be lost (not including the actual 5 hours SOT I used). Minus the 4% lost efficiency, but left with some 2% unaccounted to probably some internal management with the proximity sensor.
So, I guess the 96% efficiency still holds. With this rate, the battery efficiency loss or degradation would be 12% in 8 months. and 2nd year would be about 24%. I charge with the lowest ampere at 300 to 500 mA with my Zerolemon battery case - a wrongly calibrated battery, compared with my 2nd one that charges at 1A. So I trickle charge at 10 to 20% of charging chunks at a time to get the lowest temperature/heat.
I noticed that I have more power capacity charge at 3200+ mAh or even closer to the original 3300 mAh capacity with a 500 mA charging than I would with 1A (only about 3000 mAh).
Fast charging decreases the battery's efficiency over time. That's what i learned the first time i experienced the feature when i got my note4. So use it sparingly, only when the situation requires it. Otherwise, stick to standard charging. It'll keep your battery alive longer.
I buy N8 yesterday. Phone have light on edge screen and AL body. When i increase brightness it's worse. Very poor factory final product. Before i used S7 edge. Dust on edge's. Next time i don't buy Samsung..

No fast charging.
However, looking at my battery history, when I drained 98% usage had 2680 mAh as indicated; meaning only 2735 mAh if 100%. Note8 has 3300 mAh battery. Meaning the efficiency is only 82.87%. I lost 17.13% battery efficiency in 4 months!
I plan to do another test to confirm this, or the app is not calibrated properly. Still, I can get a 5-hour SOT over a period of 14:45 hours on LTE till the battery totally drains. This is with BT always connected, notifications on, no games, and consuming some 1GB of data.

In the 18 months I owned it I changed the battery 3 times. My note 8 is about 4 months old and I can already tell the capacity has reduced. In another 6 months I may enquire about getting a new battery fitted. In the meantime I'm going to start non-fast charging to try and keep it healthy.
after one month using note 8,i decided to sell my phone, because i am disappointed with the camera result and performance. i compare my note 8 to my friend phone(XZ Premium) and it was embarrassed cuz, my note 8 performance is not better compare to my friend xz premium. Luckily.. now... i just bought my new champion XZ Premium and i am happy with that
