Am using note 8 and iPhone 6s plus, samsung made note series awesome this year, just want to ask that anyone got Screen burn by Always On Display ? as am afraid to use that feature
I used to have a Samsung phone.... the last one I had was note 5... then I tried to use other brands (HTC, iphone, Huawei, oneplus, leeco, vivo & xiaomi)
I'm back now using Samsung with note 8... as usual the issue I am having with Samsung is battery... the rest is ok.....
AnonD-237962, 18 Jan 2018i have one, what about it?Nothing really I was wondering if this color variant was already available somewhere because in my country the only two options are still the black and grey colors only.

for batteries (any lipo battery)
charging short burst is ok, just never ever let it go down to 0% or charge it to maximum 100% and let it stay there for a long time. best is charge ur phone when it is 10% or more to 95%. never have battery problem with my phones

AnonD-729913, 11 Jan 2018I'm comparing between Note-8 and Mate10 pro. Could you advise which one is better in Battery ... moreif u are into camera and battery life, mate 10 pro battery life is simply amazing, i can go whole day (while working and play games during the day) without charging and charge when i am back home. but i do hear lots of complaint on the note 8 battery life. for camera, i give it a 10/10, its perfect, super fast background blurring for portrait shot. great sharpness and tons of camera feature. vs note 8, i cant give u the answer since my note 8 arriving in few days
AnonD-729913, 11 Jan 2018I didn't get a proper reply, which phone is better??? Note-8 or Mater-10 pro i would say go for the note 8, used mate 10 pro before ( i am not using iphone X and my note 8 is coming in a few days). my mate 10 pro is having that "lagging" issue for certain game, where the iphone X none, so does my Z5 premium from 2 years ago. but the problem may lie on the newer GPU or processor which mate 10 pro or huawei failed to awaken its full potential. hopefully note 8 not having that issue. BTW, its best not go for a "octa-core" processor phone, never liked them.. since i experience lags only with octa cored phones. yeah, i know note 8 is using octa processor.. but hopefully it wont lag
using a iphone X currently, and my note 8 is coming in a few days. lets see how they compare XD
I wonder if front glass is gorilla 5 since it easily get scratches and broke on a 20 inch fall.
AnonD-730820, 15 Jan 2018Crowd Sourcing: Battery Life Concern - What is the best battery charging habit for Note 8?... moreAfter charging too 100% mine is also dropping to 99% or less within minutes. I am not concerned about it since my Nokia Lumia 930 had the same and I used it as primary phone for more than 3 years. I think it is pretty normal.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2018IR and radio for low end and mid end phones no more high cause don't need these gimmicks anymore. It's not a gimmick when you lose your TV remote or your staying in a crappy hotel with a broken remote.
I miss it. Didn't use it all the time but definitely useful.
Also, FM radio, I like to listen to my local football team play on the radio. If I use internet radio, it's fine until the game starts, then I get a looped message saying the content isnt available in this format.
The snapdragon version apparently has FM radio (just need download a app) but my Exynos version hasn't

PS. I'm a user of note 8 and iPhone x BTW

- What is the best battery charging habit for Note 8?... moreLast upper 3 percentage will be an unreliable indicator fur a full battery after a few charges.
Using the AcuBattery Pro app, I personally consume 15% per hour while using with screen on, connected to my Bluetooth, playing music, and on LTE. That's a total of since 6 hours SOT.
For the last 3 months of use, I've kept my charge mostly above 80% by trickle charging with a battery case/magnetically attached power packs. By doing this, I'm slowing down the degradation of my internal battery life.
Also, AcuBattery Pro indicates of the internal battery of 3300 mAh is beginning to decline, like the battery reports in Windows. Mine indicates I'm 22mAh more than the 3300mAh battery design capacity:
