Removable battery was a miraculous thing so I could slap in an extended battery. No more IR remote control. No more the GIF selective editor we had on the Note 3. They even removed microSD expansion which was greatly protested.
Samsung has been inconsistent with which features to keep, and to omit. One thing I think they should remove is the heartbeat sensor which is useless to me.
does Galaxy Note 8 N9500 which is released in china has Google Play store or it has another Chinese play store? I want to buy But i'm not sure about google play store which is very important to me. (samsung mobiles released in china before note 8 don't have google play store)

Observe exclusion of 3.5mm audio output in many flagship smartphones - how could that ever be considered improvement or advancement? No, it was business (on Apple part) and marketing decision (on part of everyone who copied the idea).
What happened to miniHDMI outputs on smartphones? The ones that worked with HDMI screens without $35 gadget called Chromecast? Again, business decision.
What happened to removable batteries? MSC mode? SD card unrestricted write-able access? USB 1.1/2.0 negotiation?
I guess for good reason. Right?

Been using it for a week here and its an awesome phone. Whats negative is this stupid tempered class protectors which u dont really find a decent one. The expensive ones are really crap ( tried them ).
The battery is fine for my use. Lasts a day which is fine by me. My note 4 I charged every 36 hours this I need to charge every 24.

Omission of 1/8" TRS audio jack is one of them, even though there is absolutely no rational reason behind removing it. Only business one.
Convenience is IMO what wireless charging lacks - you cannot use the device while charging. Also the charging dock still needs to be plugged in the AC socket.
It's most certainly not replacement for using cables, but as a feature enhancer, why not.
Yes, by the time battery becomes exhausted, it's generally good idea to upgrade the phone. However there's no need for throwing away the old phone. It can still be used as auxiliary (fallback) device, or given to relatives or friends - no need to trash entire device just because battery became worn off.
Also replacement batteries are quite cheap.

Perhap "you are brainwashed or so old school"
Among the fastest phone: Spen is old school idea and is busy way to daily use
It is also slow boring performance;eg... live message text has much colour bleeding and writing is so slow and rugged with poor frame rate
Note8 is heavy blocky and awkward in hands and fingerprint is almost useless
You shouldn't embrace ooout date s_pen*
We loveAndroid but wehave to praise the amazing iPhone X as it is way way better than Note8 in real life or numbers( benchmark)
Note8 price is absurdly gimmick
Samsung should not rival Apple in price as note 8 has the same boring specs of S8 and Even It has no Android Oreo compared to SONY XZ1
So note8 has already out of date among latest Android phones
Wake up guy....

Try being an Electrican and then you would have something to Be!tch about ,your just argumentive all the time, wing wing and winging !
Unlike the Note7, the Note8 has no front fingerprint scanner, and the iris and fingerprint scanners requires a look into the camera and sliding your finger into place respectively. But if it's laid flat on the table, and you want to operate it that way, you really have to lift it up to do any of the biometric. Yeah, you still have the pattern or password way, but you have to still be weary of people seeing them.
If you have a Bluetooth device like a smart watch or earphones, you might want to take advantage of the Google Smart Unlock. It's under Lock Screen and Security. It keeps your Note8 unlocked until it your Bluetooth accessory is disconnected. It automatically locks your device once disconnected.
This way, you could just swipe up the lock screen to operate immediately with no passcodes or biometric. It takes a biometric or code input If the said disconnected Bluetooth accessory is trying to reconnect. If you're still worried about other people accessing sensitive content, use the Secure Folder that will ask for a biometric or code to open.
Hope this help alleviate the lack of a front facing fingerprint scanner.

By the time the battery wear out, it is also time to upgrade to new model. No need to replace the battery, just junk it and be updated with the latest.

E.g. sooner or later you'll have to open up the phone to change the battery, changing microUSB on top of that isn't overly complicated.
