Of course I'll get the fastest card speeds.
TheNE1GHB0R, 22 Sep 2017Ooooh, I'll be getting a 256GB microSD card in anticipation for 4k 60 fps update of the Note8.... moreMake sure you Micro SD Card of 256 gb is fast 10 level and U3 at least otherwise the 4 k videos u will record on it will be not smooth and you will push a lot your phone to rea the files on such memoery sd. By the way, did you say you are going to record 4k in 60fps with Note 8? Is it possible? As I read in official samsung it says Note 8 only record 4 k in 30fps.
Ooooh, I'll be getting a 256GB microSD card in anticipation for 4k 60 fps update of the Note8. With such great reviews of the camera(s), I can take as many pictures and 4k video on a very large 256 GB space the memory slot can provide. I mean, even a 2-hour 4k video can take up 15GB. I can like cast it onto a 4k TV and enjoy the full resolution.
I can load up all my personal music collection and Spotify downloads to listen whichever genre I am in the mode in OFFLINE. I can download Youtube transferred onto the microSD card before showering, download onto the microSD card movies and TV shows from Netflix in the highest settings and not worry about limited standard internal 64GB space.
I can bring all my 70+GB of PDF and e-books that I can share with colleagues, and can refer to literature pertaining to my work. All of these things you can do OFFLINE without waiting to download anything like even your cloud storage.
I can even encrypt everything just to be safe with personal information that might be on the card. Ah, the convenience of a memory expansion.

How many songs you can listen in one single flight? 1000?
64GB can accommodate that all.
is there a 256 gb storage of the note 8?
if yes,how do i buy it or preorder it?
Depressed, 22 Sep 2017Not impressed with the note8 6.3inch 'wow big screen' screen hype. When u compare it with the ... more6.3inch is the screen size, not the body size, and what makes the phone smaller is the almost 'bezel-less' design. You compared Note 8 and Note 5 and both phones have same body size, but the screen size is bigger on Note 8 than the Note 5. Educate yourself.
Not impressed with the note8 6.3inch 'wow big screen' screen hype. When u compare it with the note5, if u take away the space meant for the 3 buttons, its almost the same size. If u compare the so called 6.3inch screen to a 6.4inch mi max2, it is disgraceful...
Waiting so long for a big screen with stylus, would really want a 7-8 inch w stylus but now even the tab s2 is discontinued. Hi samsung, some of us are above 1.7m tall and hands and pockets are big, can we have a bigger high end unit as a phone please?

Like it or not, physical and especially expandable storage still has a major use in the SmartPhone world; to be able to access most of your media offline.
Photos? I agree and you don't need that on a flight but movies and music? Yea...you still need that microSD card goodness.
TCool, 21 Sep 2017Care to show your SOT? I guess not.You know, if you can't back up your claims, and tell everyone that you have a miraculous half-baked Note.5 that has battery performing as good as it was 2 years ago, you are avidly trolling here.
If anyone would even analyse anyone's battery usage time, you would notice a steady slight decline as months past by, unless you aren't using it.
You will always try to claim I fake stuff up.
AS IF I can fake 189 images of screen shots of my daily battery performance fir over 2 months:

The Samsung's Note, S and high-end series are an awesome investment when it comes to tools and gadgets!
I just confirmed that the Note 5 (and most Samsung high end phones from 2015) will get the Android 8 (Oreo) update
Folks should note that Xiaomi Mi Mix is still stuck on Android Marshmallow and will remain there because these other companies make phones (hardware), ship them out with the current (at the time of release) Android version and thats it.
This is one of the reasons why Samsung is different. An update (especially) a new android veraion ALWAYS makes a phone feel brand new.
TCool, 21 Sep 2017Not true. My premium 64GB Note 5 is more than two years now and still give juice like it was new.Care to show your SOT? I guess not. Even the S7 Edge we have has its battery performing 25% less after over a year.
