So basically you need to unplug the charger after charging whether with wireless charging pad or with wired brick charger.

I love the note 8 its the best smart one I have owned till now. I moved from the note 4 to this one
Olga, 15 Oct 2017Wireless charging is so slow, I just plug in to charge faster. The iPhone 8/8 plus wires charge even slower then the note 8

The manual even warns about overheating.
EugeneOnTheEdge, 16 Oct 2017Let's deal with the fact: wireless charging (even the fast one) is neat but it's hell of a hec... moreThat is why there is also a wireless charger convertible.
Instead of putting down your phone on the table draining the battery on idle mode, why not put it on a wireless charger while not in use? It will not overcharge and by the time you are about to use it, you will have a fully charged phone, ready for hours of usage. Convenient!
Olga, 15 Oct 2017Wireless charging is so slow, I just plug in to charge faster. My dear, don't wait for the phone battery to get down to 20%, or even drain.
For sure it will takes time to fully charge.
Wireless charging is not meant to charge a fully drain battery.
It is used to charge the phone when not in use no matter how many percent is left of the battery charge. At 70% battery it will take less than an hour to fully charge with wireless charging.
So why wait for the battery to drain, charge it now!
Let's deal with the fact: wireless charging (even the fast one) is neat but it's hell of a heck slow when compared to wired-charging.
Personally, I like the idea of wireless charging. Although it's nice to have it on my phone, I don't use it that often. Again, mainly because it's slow. But I love it when I am on my bed, with eyes half-closed, and I can just simply place my phone on the table and it charges.
The ONLY (and ONLY) problem with cable charging to me, is that the same situation happens over and over again. I get sleepy while I am still on my phone, and I wanna sleep right away. As I am trying to find the cable (and plug it into the phone), I lose my desire to sleep! Back then, it was still the era of micro USBs. Although now we have type-Cs, it only helps me by a bit. I still prefer wireless charging whenever it's bed time. Slow or fast, I just want my phone to be at 100% when I wake up.

That's how Samsung loves you, the price will drop in a few months so that everybody can afford it. Not like the fruit phone, only rich and famous can afford.Until the phone got outdated it is still expensive. That is a selfish company, cater only the rich ones.
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2017My S8 heats up with wireless charging. What are you talking about? My Note 5 doesn't heat up with wireless charging.
But with wired charging it heats up.
What are you talking about?
N8 Blue has some body got hands on, Only Blk Gold outdated colours available. Price has started falling, but next month will tell breaking 800$
TCool, 15 Oct 2017Be consistent. Stop giving false information. No heat whatsoever when using wireless charging.Even Samsung's official manual of the Note8 says we should expect it to get hot while fast charging or wireless charging.
TCool, 15 Oct 2017Be consistent.
Stop giving false information.
No heat whatsoever when using wireless charging. My experience is different. Tried wireless charging including note 8, it heats a bit compare to when I charge with wire. It is not a flaw in phone and is something to do with technology i believe.
Saw many opinions about iOS and Android.
Here is mine - please dont complain I am Apple fan or Android fan. I always keep two mobiles for years (one Apple and other Android - mostly samsung, htc).
All of us agree iOS performs faster with smaller RAM compare to Android. However for the price paid by us Android manufacturers are providing doubleor more of the RAM to cope up with Android OS. So no big deal of it.
Over the years I see iOS reliability reducing and Android reliability increasing.
It is not right to compare Android eco system with iO. At a time, there will be more than 1000 models of Android devices compare to 6+ iOS devices. People complain no proper updates to many devices compare to Apple devices. Android ecosystem is complex with Qualcomm, Exynos, Mediatek, Kirin, Intel etc.. processors and a dozen manufacturers. Many manufacturers avoid updating devices because of complex eco system. What this complex eco system provided us????
- I wanted highest resolution of selfie camera which is possible with Vivo and Oppo devices because of Android openness
- I wanted the best possible battery in mobile which is possible with Xiaomi mi max 2 and lenovo with larg3 battery etc...
- I wanted to take notes on mobile which is possible with galaxy note devices
- I wanted my phone look like iOS but with lesser price which is possible with miezu, oppo, mi devices etc...
- I wanted a dual sim mobile
- I wanted best processor with affordable price which is possible with Oneplus, Xiaomi
Many devices are built with different funtionality in mind with affordable price is only possible with such complex Android eco system.
With a simpler eco system Apple provides regular updates and make the OS more reliable as it releases one set of processors every year. Due to its closed ness nature, we as consumers loosing benefits as described above.
I see value in both each have its own complexity, problems and benefits.
A manufacturer not providing updates is not an issue with Android OS as such.
TCool, 15 Oct 2017Same reason why Samsung brings back the expansion memory for you. It means that fast charging... moreFast charging always overheats my phone, now battery nt gud. Have 2 replace it after only 14 mths. I keep charging so more times.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2017keep dreaming.lol,I dont know why i laughed on ur comment *:-).Btw we All know that IOS is limited but it has Hundreds of advantages :-).Its faster,Optimized,Etc,(It will take too long to describe everything)Though Samsung is Also best Brand,Actually Apple and Android both are awsome os,They have advantage each over,So u shouldn't say that its limited,Otherwise sorry.
The.Neighbor, 15 Oct 2017Yes, you keep using fast charging, and keep using the face recognition unlock. I'm not stopping you.one of my friend has the s7 edge, its already a 1year-old phone. the fast charging? that is one of the best feature that Samsung can provide, I don't think its the fast charging that makes your phone stressed, its when you are using the phone while its charging, based on the researched held by different organizations, a phone will not last long if you keep on using it while its charging or if you'll charged it once it reached 5% battery level. you can compare it to a scenario where in you are in a dessert with one bottled water. that bottled water has 3 holes at the bottom. if you keep on opening the lid and you just let the holes around the bottle, water wont last long. try to asses yourself on how you use it, well I don't care if you don't treat your phone well but what I care about is how you spread those negative things on the said phone. try to watch or read articles about handsets, Samsung always satisfies people on how the phone works.:)
