I've had mine for almost 2 month and it's perfectly fine... I suggest for your friend and to anyone who owns a tablet to buy a screen protecter... even the cheap ones on eBay works fine

Regarding the display: I just finished demoing my friend's Note 10.1, as I was thinking to get one. He has had it for about one month or maybe less. The screen has numerous scratches -- some deep.
I do not know what coating Samsung used, if any; but it's definitely not Gorilla Glass! Seems easily scratched.

i dont know why people complain about the display of this tablet...i compared it to my girlfriends ipad 3 and i dont see much difference... set the brightness to 40%+ and the display looks like ipad 3.

i'm not sure there's a note 10.1 and ipad 3 war here. Note 10.1 remains the best tablet on the market right now. This is a tab built with users on mind, meaning the users can now directly interface with their tab. Its split-screen feature has got all other tabs at its knee. The sensitive stylus is magnificent. Look, let no one confuse you cuz the note 10.1 is just unmatched right now. I'm still having sleepless nights, awaiting the arrival of mine from the U.S... So if you can, go for it...

Dear Sir (s),
I just bought this device and facing few problems. Can anyone please answer the following :
1. Every video on facebook and internet websites are demanding upgradation of flash and not playing. Why this is so, if this device already have flash support ?
2. shall it needs something to play videos ?
3. I have put roam sim in this device but i am not able to receive calls from local sim mobile. What i have to do. it always says that mobile is unreachable but its not. I am receiving only text messages from back home country.
Please answer to my these problems. I will be very grateful to all of u.

Think about calling someone with note 10.1 in middle of busy street..... Besides, galaxy note 10.1 LTE/4g version is not available yet. note 2 comes out as LTE/4g version, which is faster. If you are looking for a tablet, then note 10.1 is probably a better choice then note 2.

Read carefully before u answer. If I had to choose between galaxy tab vs ipad3, then I'll definately go for ipad 3. However, between ipad3 and note 10.1, hmm... depending on preference.
