Anonymous, 24 Jun 2015Hey there , i'm from Egypt too and i didnt get the lolipop update u updated normally from ... moreA lot of countries have not got the LP update officially, it's not possible for Samsung (I am supposing here!) to release official updates for each and every region.

In any case, you can grab the latest firmware from sammobile.com and flash it on your phone. As far as I know, OEA is the latest version.

I am talking about Snapdragon models. For Exynos, the firmware version numbers are different.

a.salem, 24 Jun 2015only palm swip is working i'm searching the screen shot button but not foundThree methods work to take a screenshot in Lollipop:

A- Power and Home button combo.
B- Palm swipe (which works half of the time with me, on S2 it worked every single time), and
C- S Pen method, from Air Command menu. The S Pen press and hold button method is nowhere to be found on LP, it's gone, officially.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2015I picked a Note 3 on June 1, 2015. The battery drains within a few hours and I use my phone on... more3 to 4 hours of what? Be specific. If you are using data, be it 3G or 4G or whatever then 4 hours of Screen on Time is "normal". But if your phone is in standby mode for 3-4 hours and battery is draining completely from 100 to 0, then there is something severely wrong with the phone.

soubu, 25 Jun 2015I purchased a Samsung note 3 N9005 imported phone from eBay but I slipped it out of my hand , ... moreJust threaten those Samsung service centres. They are bound to service any Samsung device as long as they are original! The only difference will be you will be needing to pay as you don't have an invoice and I am sure yours is Snapdragon model, so in India warranty won't be applicable.

Talk harshly, they will take your phone and service it.

For culprits SC like this the whole image of a brand goes haywire. Really sad :( Literate persons should be recruited in service centres.

Abhi D, 25 Jun 2015Since you are using Lollipop in your Note 3, i want to know how much SOT you get and how much ... moreIf you stay on Stock kernel then you will get 6 hours of SOT at average. I have got 7 hours SOT so many times on LP that I have forgotten and 2 or 3 times I hit even 8 hours!

Yes, my phone is just 6-7 months old, so the battery is not really weak or anything, but I am person who fast charges the device and on some days I charged my device up to three times a day (don't ask why and all that). :p

Nikhil Kawatra, 24 Jun 2015It is working on my note 3. All three methods of screen shots.I think you are misunderstanding. We were talking about the feature where you would just press and hold the S Pen button on the display and it would take a screenshot. That feature, for whatever reason, is removed from Lollipop. Of course, now you can take a screenshot with S Pen from the Air Command option, but that's not what we were saying.

You are mentioning the official price. I am quite certain that one will be able to get a Note 3, 32 gigs version at as low as 25-26k now. But yes, Snapdragon models won't give you any warranty, but the price of Exynos models will be more or less same. Just check on eBay India. And you will be able to get Note 4 (again SD model) for around 33k too.

This amt in India is quite a lot. In western and European countries it may not be much. I expect Note 5 to open at same levels as LG G4 Rs 51 k. This amt is 10 months wages for 50% of working class. In fact phones with 8k-10k are very popular and are selling in millions. Note 5 is a phone only rich class can afford in India and African countries.

And About the battery it dont bother to me much because i have extra battery , that i always carry. But i think i dont drain fast though . Still normal to me But i just pity about the battery saver feature that original from pure android that has been shut off from samsung . The batteries are out side and could be replaced by fake ones with same number. The possibility of fake batteries planted in ur box cannot be ruled out. It could be software problem. The service center cannot gauge the usage time of any Customer. They should test the batteries in house for 24 hours at least. Software problem cannot be ruled out.
