ithehappy, 22 Feb 2015So after using Lollipop for almost one straight week I am going back to KitKat. Reasons are... moreIl be staying with kitkat. Other ppl may like lollipop. But im happy with kitkat. Ive read up on it so much and some ppl would prefer to go back to kitkat! And that annoying bright green and white is not very nice. My sister says so many things have gone wrong. So shes going back to kitkat.
AnonD-9248, 22 Feb 2015Romeo... Do u get the ultra power saving mode in lollipop? Similar to the one u have in Samsung s5And btw, I found that Ultra Power Saving Mode is only useful when you are travelling a long like more than 20 Plus hr in our Indian Railways or you think that you will not use your phone for a long (6-7 hrs) or you only want some of selected features like calling, texting, WhatsApp & Messenger. Its only allows max 6 selected apps to run. Data off auto when screen off.
I'm getting 13.7 days of estimated time with full 100% charged on UPSM (Ultra Power Saving) on my GALAXY S5.
AnonD-9248, 22 Feb 2015Romeo... Do u get the ultra power saving mode in lollipop? Similar to the one u have in Samsung s5Nope... Just the upgraded touchwiz I got & most of the Note 4 (80%) of multiwindow like split screen & S pen features.
No Ultra Power Savings for Note 3 in Lolly Lolly POP :P

ithehappy, 22 Feb 2015So after using Lollipop for almost one straight week I am going back to KitKat.
Reasons are... moreBuddy I also don't want lollipop features! I just want new touchwiz layout like S5 and Note 4. Which is only possible to get into my note 3 via lollipop update. I was very bored with old touchwiz layout bcoz from S3 to Note 3 the same old looking touchwiz. That's why i upgraded it to lollipop. And the pop up notification is very annoying. Silent mode gone. My favourite blocking mode gone. Only the thing i love in this update is New Touchwiz & White Softy Keyboard and ofcourse New 25% Improved battery life.
As before I'm always stuck max 4hr screen time on (kitkat) and now its max 6.2hr screen on time.
Sadly I don't have Note 3 now bcoz I sold yesterday to Get Note 4 (THE MASTERPIECE) Which gives me new touchwiz on Kitkat!
So after using Lollipop for almost one straight week I am going back to KitKat.
Reasons are,
A- No Silent mode! This has to be a joke. No don't tell me about that darn Priority mode, it's nothing but a joke, and no way a replacement of Silent mode. This single issue is enough for me to ditch 5.0. Hope someone in Google will start drinking milk again and bring it back.
B- No upcoming alarm time on lockscreen. LOL.
C- Lockscreen notifications are involved (integrated) with notifications on task bar (or status bar). So you disable or enable a notification on task bar, it will also be enabled or disabled on Lockscreen too! Another utter joke and it's extremely annoying. I use WatchON app of Samsung to control my TV and sat connection, and it's there enabled on Lockscreen too, making the clock tiny, LOL. God knows what's wrong! And if you think about disabling the notifications, well good, but as I said, you disable notification of an app, and it's gone from status bar too (along with lockscreen of course), but the main problem is you won't be notified on an incoming text or missed call on lockscreen any more which is, or was a very good feature of Samsung. This is another extremely important reason for me to not be able to use 5.0!
D- No Xposed yet, this isn't a major issue, as it will be compatible soon.
But, I will miss the light backgrounds and more importantly the very good battery backup. Well gotta leave something to gain something, or in this case get back stuffs which are extremely important and should not have been altered at all!
Now I understand that if you let Google handle Android in their only way they are going to doom it. So custom skins are needed after all, don't know why Samsung ditched the Silent mode and others stuffs of their own, not good.
Just thought about saying this, in case anyone is wondering whether to upgrade to 5.0 or stay with KitKat.
Just upgraded from kitkat to lollipop via odin and there are lots of improvement specially in battery. Lollipop seems to help increase battery a lot.. I mean you will surely feel the additional battery compared when using Kitkat before
