TheNeighbor, 01 Jun 2014No big deal for me. I love to listen to 8Tracks. Internet radio gives more, really. FM radio ... moreThat is true, I found lots of better internet radio stations that are not available in the built-in radio broadcasts.

I have used T2 and Z2 and they have FM radio with RDS
Network connection is not always "OK"
Apart from music, We can use FM radio for listening breaking news ,world news and traffic conditions and so on!
FM radio is essential for future smartphones****
Have a very nice days,

AnonD-77443, 01 Jun 2014Tune in radio isn't allowed to stream the cricket, plus it uses 4G data when away from wifi pl... moreTuneIn Radio has many updates already and it can stream not necessary on 4G but with 3G data as well.
The same with built-in radio is also useless when indside the office because the reception is horrible.
Built-in radio cannot update me with news in my country when I am in a foreign land. You call that ultimate communication? Most of the time built-in radio is useless.
How many percent of people around the world listen to cricket? Not everyone have the same sport interest.

I use TuneIn a lot more than I would use FM but there are times when FM is better.
Samsung should include every feature possible if they want to stay number 1.

Right now I am working overseas where the radio stations broadcasts are in local language which I can't understand. So built-in FM radio will be useless.
I am listening to my country's FM radio stations via TuneIn radio on my Note 3 inside my office with good reception and that is ultimate communications and entertainment. Built-in radio cannot do that.
AnonD-269205, 31 May 2014Yes it does work very well on kitkat 4.4.2 (N900)Mine does not work on 4.4.2 .too slow and agonizingly painful

There are people who would never use the S-pen but would use an FM radio.
I don't use the S-pen much and only used the Note 2 FM radio when the cricket was on. My point is.... the Note is meant to be the ultimate communications and entertainment device. An FM radio should have been included.
Steve J, 31 May 2014Neighbour hold on a minute! You really are singing Samsung's song, however there are two major... moreYou know I had the Note II for 11 months. I tried the FM radio only twice for a few times. We have a set of mostly terrible radio programs - annoyingly with so much crappy talk show nonsense, DJs talking about the shallowest things, commercials that I don't want to hear, and I've heard enough One Direction and other music with the lyrics that are meaningless to anything.
I have a secondary small dumb phone (as my dialer and bluetooth earpiece substitute) that has an FM radio, and I don't use it for FM radio. I read and watch the news, and the AM band is the news channel in my region, which is also terrible. I do have an unlimited data plan - Internet radio all the way, controlling the music genre you want to listen to, with no commercials.
Hey, if you want Z2 for its FM radio, get it. Just don't complain about it being without an S Pen, overheating with 4k recording, non-replaceable battery, back being glass against those accidental drops, terrible weak audio (even with double speakers), only 16GB version, no universal infrared remote controller, and rubber water seals breaking easily from opening the flaps often (I tried it, and it broke).
Samsung printers can work with "or any other supported Android device to almost any* Samsung Laser Printer".
I don't really care for branding. I'm after what's the best set of useful features. I only fond the S Pen and S Note to be very useful than any.
TheNeighbor, 30 May 2014Unlike the T2 Ultra which only has 8GB of internal memory, the Note 3 has 32GB.
Unlike the ... moreNeighbour hold on a minute! You really are singing Samsung's song, however there are two major flaws to this device:
1) modern smartphones are essentially communicating devices, yet Note III omits one of the greatest communicating inventions....the radio. A pathetic and arrogant move of Samsung to make. Local news is important and it is not always available on the internet. It is folly to build a device so heavily reliant on the internet for communication. Note II is far better in that it offers digital FM radio. One can attain local news and this is vital in developing countries. It is far more useful to offer multiple ways of communication in these communicating devices we call smartphones. I'm leaning towards Sony Z2 as my next smartphone.
2) Why does Samsung restrict the make of printer one can use? In my region their printers are rare and it is just annoying that Samsung imposed that restriction on us. If I'm not mistaken, Sony Xperia Z2 allows one to use any printer.
It seems to me Samsung is becoming arrogant with its popularity. Pride comes before a fall. Remember Nokia.....
