Well, it's the same thing wrong happening with my Note 8 updating to 4.4.2 - there is a problem with writing onto the external memory card.
On the Note 3, I also noticed that you can't transfer files from your external card via wifi. This is so wrong.
note 3 vs 5S vs xperia Z2.which one will be the best camera phone among these?
Assure, 12 May 2014Mr Tcool, you maybe able to write on sd card But never transfer Apps to Sd Card except very fe... moreI don't know for you.
But for my N9005 updated to Kitkat, there's no problem of moving installed apps to SD card.
I am telling this according to my actual use of Note 3 not just any hear say.
Clean Master app also allowed to transfer apps from phone to SD card even with Kitkat update.
11GB used on the phone internal memory and 11GB used from its 32GB SD card. I still have 20GB+ free on each, a total of 40GB+ free memory in all.
Isn't that amazing?
I bought N9002 Note 3 Dual Sim a week ago, it's only available in China Market and it's original apps doesn't include Google Playstore. I get through that by rooting the device and install the playstore manually. If you're the type who likes to have everything in 1 device, this is it. It's only drawback is that the dual sim didn't support 4G LTE connection yet, otherwise it's perfect. I need the dual sim because I travel a lot, and when I'm abroad, I can still receive roaming calls and sms, and use another local sim for data. the design look stiff and formal, but sophisticated. Nice cameras with 13Megapixel back and 2Megapixel front. Strong battery, daily use, I start using from 8am-11pm from 100% to 1%. Really love this phablet. I switchded from blackberry onyx 2 and galaxy tab 2 7" to just this one phone and it has everything. Nothing can compete with this for now, unless apple decide to make iphone 6 with 5.7" display. But still it's not dual sim.

nimz, 11 May 2014Hi to all, I have been using Note series but after recent update to android 4.4.2 the battery... moreBattery will need to calibrate after a few more use.
4.3 can be reverted back by downloading the firmware and installing with Odin... but not advisable if you don't want to void your warranty, or are not sure how to do it.
You could ask the Samsung center to revert it back if you're still under warranty.
4.3 was good enough. Had no complaints, and everything worked as it should. 4.4.2 brings a bit of an update with some latest apps working for this update like Google camera and Samsung SideSync to remote your Note 3 with your PC - but that's it and nothing much else. My biggest problem with the update is some apps can't write onto the external memory.

To enable any app in pen window there's a little app in Playstore called MW-Pen App enabler. But for it you have to uninstall the app you want and re-install through this app.
All without root, doesn't work with stock apps.
For the battery drain there's no solution yet.
Hi to all, I have been using Note series but after recent update to android 4.4.2 the battery performance has been a disappointment. Earlier in android jellybean 4.3 the battery discharge was slower as compared to how it is after kitkat update. RAM usage when idle is more than how it was in android 4.3
Is it possible to roll back to Jellybean 4.3 as I find it much better. I dont find anything special in kitkat 4.4.2.
One more thing people might not have noticed, after the kitkat update, the PEN window doesnt have Whatsapp. In android 4.3 there was whatsapp in pen window. Plz update the kitkat version with these changes.
Battery draining very fast.
Mine,my sister one and my wife's. One all problems with camera...it take time process the photo any untishake issue.
